the rain was burbling into the drains.
boiling the surface of the river.
dripping from the flowers.
buzzing incessantly with noise.
chinking off the windows.
dinging furiously off the tin roof.
the rain is such a beautiful thing.
the five boys climbed up the roof of the convenience store, sitting on the edge of it.
"five, four, three, two, one, happy new year!" the cheering from the new year's parade nearby echoed through the air, leaving a vast of wind as the cheers filled in the beautiful atmosphere.
"let's make new year wishes!" the yellow-haired boy suggested, taking the lead as he cups his hands around his mouth, shouting, "i want to get a good job!"
"i want to debut successfully!" taehyun followed, giggling after he had done so.
"i wish all the best for everyone!" kai smiled as he swung his legs on the extreme of the roof.
"i wish... i wish that we would all stay like this forever!" beomgyu stood up before plopping himself back down again, eyes turning into crescents.
"i want beomgyu to be happy forever," soobin trailed off, hoping the latter would not hear the last part.
"i am happy," the black-haired boy tilted his head, "i'm with you,"
the pair smiled at each other as a voice broke them apart.
"stop making us feel single, gosh! no more flirting here," kai's exasperated voice filled the cool night sky.
rain, rain rain.
such a beautiful thing, soobin thought, when i'm with you.
