19 - you want to fuck me

Luke couldn't see Valentine, but he didn't have to turn around to know who was hovering closely behind him. He didn't want to face her, but he figured it'd be taking the whole ignoring her thing too far if he just pretended her voice fell upon deaf ears.

"Luke, my man! So this is where you disappeared to. You know, I really expected you to come back. I'm only a little upset that you left me up there alone with Michael, but I see what's going on now. Why don't you—"

"What the fuck are you doing with her?" Luke couldn't stop himself from growling at Ashton when he finally turned around and saw that his friends arm was carelessly strung across Valentine's shoulder. Something about their position bothered him more than he would ever admit. It was obvious though, to every body surrounding Luke.

"Well, she couldn't find the bathroom. I ran into her and helped her... is there a problem?"

"Slick, Ashton. Move." Luke's tone was much too serious for Valentine to understand. She was so consumed by the moment, she hadn't even noticed Ashton was holding her close to his torso. She was much too focused on the way Luke's back seemed to tense up when she called out. She began wondering if it would've been smarter to avoid him rather than speak up, but she certainly knew she'd be yelling at Mary for letting this happen once they got back home.

"Move, dude." Luke had stepped forward and was eyeing Ashton's stiff movements until he couldn't take it any longer. He reached his hand out, grabbed Ashton's arm, and rather aggressively threw it back down where it wouldn't be touching Valentine.

"Sorry, dude. Didn't know she was yours."

"I'm not his," Valentine mumbled, not really expecting the blonde in front of her to hear it. But he did, and it caught him off guard. The way her tongue rested just barely behind her bottom teeth had him on edge, and he narrowed his eyes while he thought.

"Are you drunk, Val?" He asked quietly, keeping his voice down to keep Ashton from cutting in with another snarky remark.

"What's it matter?" She answered his question with another of her own. She looked a little too proud of the way she was standing up to him, and it didn't even remotely slip past Luke's suspicions.

"Will you come talk to me?" He asked, trying to keep his calm while Mary and Ashton stared into his soul. He was a little too aware of the audience, and he would much rather not have to deal with their lingering gazes full of judgment.

"Why?" Valentine asked, crossing her arms against her chest. With the tight black dress clad to her body, the movement did wonders to her cleavage, and Luke couldn't stand the sight of it. He needed to get her away from the others, and fast if she was going to be acting like that.

"Because I need to talk to you, Valentine." His voice lowered an octave and he knew what he was doing to the girl. It was clear to see she had felt something in the pit of her stomach due to his serious tone.

"Mmkay... Hey Mary, will you tell Chase I said I'll see him later?" She may have been a little shaken by Luke's words, but she wasn't sober enough to pass up the opportunity to play a little game. She could see Luke tense up from the corner of her eye, and she knew her evil little plan worked out perfectly.

"Chase? You know him?" Luke asked, making his move to grab the girls wrist and lead her towards the stairs. Before she could even blink, Mary was out of her sights completely.

"Yeah, I met him tonight. Isn't he cute?"

"Cut that shit out, Val. I'm not stupid."

The brunette took that as a challenge. She quickly retracted her hand from his grip and stopped dead in her tracks. It took Luke a few steps without her to realize she had quit walking, but once he did, he turned around abruptly to face her. "I'm not fucking playing with you, Valentine. Come on," he spoke lowly, reaching out to grab her wrist again. She accepted defeat and allowed the boy to lead her up a flight of stairs and into a random bedroom upstairs.
