Days until birthday: forgotten

"Hoseok what are you doing here?" I question, glancing around me confused.

He shrugged and looked just as confused as I was.

"No clue. All I remember was seeing this creepy black creature with no face crawling on the ground in this seemingly endless room, which was horrifying, might I add."

I nodded my head in agreement. "I went through the same, except mine was standing over me while I cowered on the ground in fear."

He chuckled.

"Seems like something you would do."

I stand up and slap his arm, causing him to grin.

"I'm not lying though, am I?"

I rolled my eyes and turn to look around, immediately clinging onto his arm when I remembered where we were. He looked down at me with a brow raised when I grabbed him, but quickly realized that this was my fear.

"Oh crap, uh." He frantically surveyed our surroundings to try and find a way told help me over come this specific terror.

Coming to a conclusion, his expression dropped and he turned to me hesitantly.

"Y/n, we're gonna have to jump off the building to move on."

I froze, fear completely consuming me. My breaths quickened and I soon began to hyperventilate, causing Hoseok to panic and grab both of my arms.

"Sweetie, you're gonna have to look at me okay? Look into my eyes." He ordered, but I was too busy trying to breath correctly to hear what he said.

Don't give in Y/n, don't give in just yet. It's one fear and this is only a simulation. You won't hit the ground if you jump. Hoseok is with you right now, so you're lucky enough to endure this with him.

"Hey, hey! Y/n you need to focus on me. I'm here with you, so you're not alone through any of this." Hoseok took my face between his hands and forced me to look at him.

There were tears pouring down my face, making his eyes softened as he saw them. Bending down to my height, he looked me right in the eyes and smiled.

"You got this. I know you're strong enough to get through these trials. We're here together so let's do this as a team! Don't forget you have Jungkook waiting for you back home, alright?" He reminded, running his fingers through the strands of my hair comfortingly.

I took a shaky breath and nodded my head, eyes seeming more determined than I actually was on the inside. He smiled and took my hand, squeezing it. We walked over to the edge and looked down, causing my stomach to flip as I saw the height of the building compared to the ground.

Hoseok glanced at me and frowned, turning my head so that I looked at him and only him.

"Keep your eyes on me, got it? I don't need you dying on me and Jungkook. Your man would beat me to smithereens if he found out I let you fail."

I nodded my head and closed my eyes, stepping closer to Hoseok. He let go of my hand and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me as close as possible.

"On the count of three, we're gonna fall okay?" He stated. I shut my eyes tight and nodded once more, keeping my arms wrapped tightly around his small waist.

"One...two....three." He tilted to the side, causing us to fall over the edge and towards the ground. He was speaking into my ear, but the wind was too loud for me to understand what he was saying. I clutched onto him tighter as we continued to plummet to the ground, my tears leaving a trail in the air behind us.
