For a moment, I wondered why they stopped so soon. Then I remembered. Most of these kids are just that, kids. Only one or two could keep moving all night, like me.
"What do we do now?" One girl piped up. The whole group was looking at me like I was their leader. I smiled to myself. It's nice when you're the one everyone looks to.
"Now here's what we're going to do. We're going to find-" But I never got to finish. Why not? I was cut off.
"Why, you'll be going to the best school for mythicals." A high voice declared, just behind me.
I spun around like a top, causing Katherine to cling on to me. I didn't know who had spoken or what they meant by 'mythicals' and I wasn't taking chances. Thankfully, there weren't any wolves, or any other predator. Just a simple girl.
She wore a plain red dress and yellow flats. Her hazel brown hair was pulled back in a bun. Her skin was the color of milk.
Sizing her up, I'd bet I would win if we fought.End page four
