Tyler POV

I dazed in and out of consciousness, snuggling into the warm blankets trying to make the few minutes I had before Troye woke me up last longer. Just as I was about to slip out of reality and into the land of make believe I felt a rough, sandpaper like texture on my face. The object left a wet trail across my cheek and I suddenly became extremely confused and slightly worried about what just touched me. I lied in the same position, perfectly still, not wanting to disturb whatever was lurking around me.

"Go to Tilly." I heard Troye's thick accent whisper and the sound of claws scratching against the hard wood floor. Again I felt the same texture across my face, and this time not able to fight off my curiosity, I opened my eyes.

As my eyes adjusted to the bright rays of sunshine pouring through the window I was greeted by a small, golden puppy pouncing around the room and a bed headed Troye trying to grab the puppy before it broke something. A large smile formed on my face as I watched Troye awkwardly crawl around the floor, slipping on the clean, polished surface while the puppy bounced energetically around him, seemingly mocking him.

"Come here puppy!" I called in a high pitched voice and the puppy immediately turned its head to the side and came running full force at me, abandoning the previous battle with Troye. Its tongue flapped out of its mouth and its small paws landed on the floor with a thud that echoed through the room. The golden puppy jumped on top of me and I wrapped my arms around it as it kissed my face.

"Merry Christmas babe." Troye said with a smile as he watched me fall in love with the adorable, energetic, little mush ball that was wrapped in my arms.

"Thank you so much Troye. What's its name?" I said perkily, completely obsessed with the best present anyone's ever gotten me.

"I don't know, I wanted to let you name her." Troye said as he sat down next to me and wrapped one of his arms around my shoulder and used the other to pet the puppy that had gone from incredibly energetic to calm and sleepy in a matter of seconds.

"Let's call her Jingles." I said as I stared down at the small puppy that was yawning in my lap.

"It's perfect." Troye said with a smile as he pecked my cheek. It's only been 10 minutes, but this is already the best Christmas ever.

"She's a miniature golden retriever so she won't get too big. It's basically like having a forever puppy." Troye explained and I couldn't stop smiling. He was the most perfect boyfriend I could have ever asked for.

"She's perfect, you're perfect, this is all just so perfect. I love you so much Troye, thank you." I said as I gently moved a strand of hair off of his forehead and when I gazed into those perfect blue orbs staring back at me I couldn't help the butterflies that went rampant in my stomach.

"I love you too Tyler. You deserve the best, I just want to give it to you." He smiled with a small blush creeping across his face, even when he didn't try he was still seemingly flawless.

"But I already have the best." I said as I connected our lips for a short kiss and as I felt his soft lips against mine all my worries vanished. Troye was the only one I needed; he was my light in the darkest tunnel, my rainbow at the end of the most severe storm, my warmth in the middle of a blizzard. He was my everything and I was so thankful I had someone like him to call mine.

Our lips moved together slowly, savoring each second of contact we shared, craving the warmth that our bodies radiated. Suddenly I felt claws digging into my legs and Troye fell backwards, landing on his side with Jingles on top of him, pulling at the bottom of his jumper with her teeth like it was a toy.

"Great now even the dog interrupts us."
Troye joked and I don't know if the small giggle I let out was because of his comment or just the fact that I couldn't contain my immense happiness, but either way I wasn't complaining.
