Yoongi sighed softly pulling his headphones off his ears. When he had said that he had meant it. Or more so hoped that that would be the case. But reality was that a month had passed, he was back at his university's library doing research, and he couldn't stop thinking about Jungkook.
He had been the one reassuring Jungkook that texting would be enough and now he was the one missing Jungkook. Really badly. Whenever he was around the boy he felt so at peace. Content with himself and the world.
It wasn't like things were bad here, but they weren't as good as they were back at his place with Jungkook by his side. And he missed that boy. For more than one reason. Both because he couldn't cuddle up to him... he couldn't kiss him, which was something Yoongi had never really missed about a partner before. But he also missed Jungkook in his wolf form. Just playing outside. How energetic he was. He missed running his fingers through his fur.
Now he had none of that. All he had were his frequent phone calls with Jungkook, who made sure to call Yoongi at least once a day. And it was nice, since he got to hear Jungkook's voice as he excitedly told him about his day, but it wasn't the same thing as seeing Jungkook and really feeling his presence.
Something about only hearing his voice was depressing. Because hearing Jungkook only gave him the urge to hug the boy, but that wasn't possible right now.
His phone chimed next to him and he lifted it up to his face to read the message Hobi had sent him. It wasn't anything particularly interesting. Just a picture of a duck, an old inside of joke of theirs.
When he was about to put his phone back down he noticed that there was another message he had probably overlooked before. It was from Jimin.
When he opened it he couldn't help the smile spreading over his face.
