Chapter Four: Love Blossoms

Naruko has spent two years in the academy. She has become great friends with Shino, Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, and Sasuke. Ino, Sakura, and the rest of Sasuke's fan club hate her with a passion because she is the only person Sasuke talks to. She doesn't like Kiba because of the way he looks at her. Kiba tried to pin her to a wall and kiss her but ended up with a broken nose, cracked ribs and black eye. Akumaru was spared from the horrible beating that took place because Naruko can speak to animals due to Kurama's power. The poor thing was pleading to Naruko not to hurt him. One day a fly flew into the classroom and almost everyone was trying to kill it. Naruko trapped the fly and instead of squashing it she opened a window to let it out. Later that day Shino talked to her about bugs and Naruko listened in great interest in the Aburame Clan's relationship with their bugs. Another day Naruko was cloud watching because she had nothing better to do. Shikamaru saw her in his usual spot and muttered about troublesome women. Naruko challenged Shikamaru to a game of Shogi and won within the first twenty moves. Later that day Choji came by to see Shikamaru lose again to Naruko. After a while Choji invited them all to his clan's compound to have dinner. Naruko, Choji and Choza ended up in an eating competition. After about twenty minutes of stuffing food into their mouths Choji and Choza couldn't continue, while Naruko ate for another ten minutes, breaking every Akimichi eating record. Hinata and Naruko met at lunch one day and talked to each other about medical creams. Naruko gave Hinata many tips on making creams to their fullest. Sasuke and Naruko have been friends since Naruko's first day. Their daily conversations in Uchiha confused everyone to no end. One day Naruko got Sasuke to smile, much to everyone's surprise. After a year Naruko started to notice that Sasuke would keep glancing at her and he had the lightest blush possible that no one but a trained anbu could see. Naruko decided to put her seduction skills to the test and see if she could crack the Uchiha. It worked a little. Sasuke's mask was still strong but there were a few slip ups. Unknown to everyone else, keeping his mask up was torture to the young Uchiha. He planned to confess his feelings soon, he just didn't know when.

Today was graduation day for the academy and everyone was excited. Almost everyone was in the classroom when the building started to shake.

"FIRST!"

"No my big toe is clearly ahead of yours!"

"Will you two SHUT UP!"

"NO ONE WAS TALKING TO YOU DEMON WHORE!"

The room went dead silent. KI started to fill the room suffocating the pink banshee know as Sakura.

"I have permission to kill you. You have broken the Third hokage's law."

"W-w-wait!"

"I'll finally rid the world of this nuance."

Every one in the room was shaking with fear. Most of the civilians have wet themselves. Even Iruka is having trouble talking. Naruko pulls one of her crystal swords out of a storage seal in her cloak. She is about to cut Sakura's head off when she feels a hand on her shoulder.

"She's not worth killing."

"You're right, Sasuke."

Sasuke's mouth his right by Naruko's ear as they whisper to each other. Naruko put her sword away and they walked back to their desk/bench. The KI was lifted and Iruka spoke.

"O-ok c-c-class. T-today is the graduation exams. We'll be going over the three academy jutsus, a written test, kunai and shuriken throwing, and a taijutsu match."

After a couple hours of testing Naruko comes out with her headband around her forehead.

"That was too easy."

"Alright class, we are going to reveal the top scores. Top shinobi goes to Sasuke Uchiha-"

All of his fangirls squeal saying that Sasuke's the best.

"and top kunoichi goes to Naruko Uzumaki-Namikaze. Teams will be announced five days from now."

Naruko walks out of the academy and heads towards the Uzukaze compound. Most of the villagers look at Naruko with respect and fear. They respect her heritage but fear her power over them. She walks by an alleyway and someone grabs her and pulls her in and pins her to a wall.

"Who the-oh, S-sasuke. W-what are you doing."

Sasuke's face is really close to Naruko's. Sasuke has his trademark Uchiha smirk on his face, while Naruko's face is pink. Sasuke leans in closer and whispers, "I've liked you for a while now."

"Well that's kinda obvious."

"What? My emotional mask has thrown trained jounin through the loop."

"Well I'm not a trained jounin. I'm a trained anbu."

"What?!"

"Shhh! You can't tell anyone this. I've been at the academy to make friends my age. Also do you plan to take revenge on Itachi?"

"Yes. I will kill him then restore my clan."

"What I'm about to tell you is a S-rank secret. The Uchiha clan was planning a coup d'etat. Itachi killed everyone so Konoha wouldn't go into a civil war."

"Itachi told me he did it to test his strength. He told me to hate hm and get stronger so I could kill him."

"Why would you listen to the person who killed your clan."

"I-I, that's a good point."

"Now can you let me go?"

"Not yet."

He smirks then kisses Naruko. She tries to pull away but something stops her. Come on Kit. You can't deny that you want this. No. Are you sure. No. You're not sure. You're right, I do want this. That's what I thought. Naruko kisses Sasuke back. She feels something touch the bottom of her lip and she opens her mouth a little. Sasuke's tongue explores this new territory. After a couple minutes they break apart.

"Let's go get something to eat."

"Ramen."

"Ok."

"You're paying."

Twenty bowls of ramen later, they say there goodbyes and both head home.
