Ella's P.O.V:
I stared at Soul in shock as he finished his explanation. "I... I can't believe... Oh my god." I whispered, collapsing to my knees.
Soul knelt down before me and pulled me into his warm embrace. "I know, it's a little hard to take in. I get it."
I stared at the black tiled floor, contemplating all the things that I have just heard. Something didn't add up.
If Soul and I are here...
Where the hell are our bodies...?
If Kid loves me so much...
Why did he leave me?
"We need to go back. The last thing I remember is fighting Maka." I decided to save the part about being dropped by Kid for another time, since Soul seemed pretty mad at Kid as it is.But then, I gasped as I realized that she was still in the room when I passed out.
I looked at Soul, who had a hesitant look in his eye. He then shook it off, and looked straight at me. "Don't worry. I bet Kid is fighting her off right now."
I mentally shook my head. He's probably running from me now. I corrected, dismissing the thought of him.
As I got to my feet, Soul laid a hand on my shoulder and shook his head. "I'm afraid there's no way out. Well, unless you're willing to lose that."
He forced my jacket sleeve up, revealing my (now glowing with a red aura) snake tattoo. I jerked my hand away, causing Soul to grimace at me.
"C'mon, it'll be fine. All will be fine and cool. Just let me have a look at that..." He said, trying to coax me into showing him my arm again.
"Why do you want to see it?" I asked, pursing my lips. Soul shrugged casually and crossed his arms. "I just thought it looked cool."
Since I wasn't easily convinced, I crossed my arms defiantly, turning away from him. I needed to get out of this place, even if it kills me.
But then, it all clicked.
Kid is gone.
There's no one left.
I'm passed out, alone.
There's no way out of here.
Soul is giving Maka the chance to kill me right now.

Soul's P.O.V:
I watched as Ella fell to her knees in panic. She was really breaking. Well, after the sob story I told her, she must be in shock.
After all, truth can hide behind false eyes.
Ella's P.O.V:
I can't let Soul know. I have to trick him. I have to get him back on my side. I have to get out of here.
Even if it means risking my humanity.
