about it and give you time to think it over & talk it over with Aaron Hotchner and your family" I say " alright thanks" shutting my phone I sigh when I see Ellie crawling to me I pick her up saying " kitchen I make a pot of coffee going up to Grayson's room saying " hey bud time to wake up, I've got to work" I go into Ellie's room seeing her up already so I pick her up taking her to the changing table changing her and putting her in her shirt that says " I got my attitude from my momma" with black leggings & red converse putting her in the carrier grabbing my case & go bad saying " come on - at base" I hear a knock at my door hearing Strauss says " I would like to talk with you & Aaron about your offer" I nod getting the information following Strauss into Aaron's office Strauss closes the door & curtains when Aaron asks " what's this about Strauss" she nods towards me and I sigh saying " last night I got a job offer from special ops to their lead profiler, I would basically do what we do here then interrogate them for information, as much as an good opportunity this would be I don't know if I want to leave the team" Strauss says " the board has already put it in action, there's nothing we can do to stop it from being stopped" Aaron asks " there's really nothing we can do" Erin says " it's above all of our pay grades" I ask " when do I leave" Aaron says " the Sunday you get morning was the hardest because we're a family & so many good memories are in the that building, Grayson surprised me last night he's a momma boy picked up on my distress and he told me to go with the higher ops bc it could be a once in a life time opportunity and then walking in he told me to think of all the happy time's, I honestly don't wanna leave but no one can do anything the board has Jennifer jureau went through a situation like this so she understands the emotional impact on the team & me , my boyfriend Derek Morgan was supportive of the decision, Penelope Garcia and Spencer Reid were the most impacted & devastated bc I'm the glue to their dysfunctional family and the shoulder to cry on , my dad David Rossi was understanding but also sad I am leaving, while me it's hit the hardest because my most favorite and memorable moment we're with that team, from Derek helping me with the break in if my house to reuniting with my dad , getting accepted into the BAU , Derek asking me to be his girlfriend, having my precious little kids, and the laughs we share at dinners or gatherings but they're all supportive of the decision & know that there's nothing we could do to stop it since the board already accepted it for me" Layton says " their loss is our gain, I also wanted to inform you that we set up an office for you & I'll personally train you myself" I say " thank you sir" sighing putting my phone up not knowing how to process having to call someone else sir, Aaron comes up to me saying " having trouble dealing with knowing you'll have to call him sir instead of me" I nod saying " yea, he's training me personally & I already have an office ready for me" Aaron says " wow, how're you dealing with this" I say " the 5 stages of grieve, Denial- I still can't get my head around the fact that I have to leave the bureau, Anger-I'm angry at the board for accepting the job offer without consenting me first,Depression- I'm overwhelmed & feel helpless that there's nothing I could do to stop it from happening, bargaining- Iv talked about my struggle with finding the meaning behind it with friends and finally Acceptance- I'm kind of looking forward to this new career & new opportunity" Aaron says " Spencer's gonna be the worse about it" I nod saying " the good thing is I don't have to move states for the job" Aaron nods, after the following days Spencer has been my partner for everything in the case, we finally got the kid & I could tell everyone is upset bc it's our last case together flying back to the bureau we're talking about the happy memories of me on the team, I say " if it weren't for dad , Aaron, Derek & Penelope I'd probably be dead in Puerto Rico from the attacker, my two kids wouldn't have been born or have the greatest two god parents, grandpa or family" we get there & I sigh grabbing a empty box going into this office putting all my pictures, electronics, files and everything in it seeing as everyone already left I walk towards Penelope's room seeing her I lean against the door frame setting the box down she sighs walking towards me asking " how can they do this to us, we're a family" I say " they wanted me for a long time he was in the police field promoted to FBI, then special task field and finally higher ops, Osborn specializes in extractions & interrogations, Jake west he was in the army as was his dad and grandpa, when he got offered the higher ops position, west specializes in interrogations & combat, Nick Monroe was the FBI 's #1 Agent whose earned medals when higher ops immediately hired him, Monroe specializes in tracking & extractions, then you have me you specializes in profiling, take-downs & locating criminals " I call Layton asking "how do I know none of them is gonna discriminate me for being a women in charge" Layton says" how would that affect you and your role in this task force" I say " when I'm being discriminated I'm more harsher on the people who don't disrespect me but that disrespect & discrimination is not what builds like the team I was in & that's what I want to build here" Layton says " I'll make sure that no one will disrespect you any other measures" I say "we need one more person who'll be the technical analyst of this task force that person is significantly important in helping us tracking & helping me profile the suspect or killer" Layton says " alright , I'll find the person for you okay" I say" thanks Layton" Derek comes in asking "what was all that about" I say "I'm leading a team of all boys & one or all might have an issue with being bossed around or led by a female so I made sure that Layton knows what I need for the team to work effectively & precisely" Derek says hugging me from behind " look at you taking charge already" I smile asking" what about the kids, where would they go" Derek says " since Penelope stays at the bureau most of the cases she can watch them" I nod saying" okay" we get in bed falling asleep the next morning we both have off so I make pancakes for the family then set the plates of pancakes out on our table outside calling Derek saying" hey Babe food's ready" I hear footsteps saying "alright I'll wake Grayson up while you get Ellie" I say"thanks" going into the nursery I see she's already up so I get her out of the crib saying" you're already up & awake, you may be a daddy's girl but you certainly inherited my early bird habit" changing her in the cute little dress JJ got her I head outside with the baby seat seeing Grayson & Derek at the table so I seat Ellie by me in her baby seat we say grace then eat I take the time to talk to Grayson about how my new job will effect saying" Grayson I know that Morgan & I having different jobs will be challenging for you & your sister but Morgan & I talked about where you'd two will stay when we're both on cases and decided since your god mother Penelope is at the bureau for most of all the cases you'll be staying with her then when you dad is on a case & I'm not you'll be with me & vice versa but I need you to know that yes I'll have my phone on my but I may not be able to answer or talk to you when I'm on a case since this is extremely more dangerous & important but I'll call when I have the chance okay" Grayson asks" where will you be on cases" I say" that is something that I'm not allowed to discuss with anyone & will be only a certain selected people that will know if something were to happen me so that they'll inform your dad, your Grandpa & uncle Aaron" I get a box from a bag saying" I also discusses with your dad & his team that we all think you should have a phone that if you two are in danger, you need to talk to them or there is an emergency you have all our numbers & for your dad and I you will use the word "pepper" but you have to keep it a secret & only use when you are in immediate danger like if your kidnapped if someones in the house you'll text anyone "Pineapple" we all know what it means, I also have music on it & some games that you can use but there's several parental controls I put in the phone the screen time which means you only got so much time you can use it for then it'll turn off until you can use it again, the games on it are your age range games & the YouTube video's you watch can't have vulgar content such as nudity & cursing, you're allowed to have this in your room but once bed time hits put it on the charger on your nightstand okay" Grayson says "okay" we all hang out then go to bed that morning I get a call saying" Emma Morgan here" it's Layton saying" we need you here " I say" let me get my bag & I'll be down there ASAP" Layton says"alright" I grab the pack writing a quick note to Derek saying" Babe I got called in , don't know when I'll be back but I'll keep you informed as much as I can, love Emma" kissing him on the cheek setting the note on his nightstand going into Grayson's room walking to him kissing his cheek saying" mommy has to go to work but mommy will always protect you" walking out of the room going to Ellie's nursery leaning down kissing Ellie's head saying" mommy will always protect you " exiting the room going outside to my car putting my bag in the passenger side as I get in the drivers seat buckling up heading to the secret base taking several hours .
