You woke up to the sun on your face, surrounded by the softest golden sand. You groaned and sat up.

"Wha..?" You uttered.

You found yourself looking at a wide stretch of blue sea. It looked like a fairy tale beach. You looked around.

You spotted someone lying on the sand not far from you. You crawled over to him cuz you were too groggy to stand properly.

"Hello?" You said

He didnt respond.

You reached over and turned him over. You saw his face.

"CODY!" You scream.

Cody was unconscious and lying on his back in the sand. His shirt was stained with blood.

Without thinking, you gently ripped off his shirt. You grimmaced as you saw his body. It was covered in cuts and bruises and bleeding. You took off your own shirt and gently cleaned his wounds. Then you got up and went to search for clean spring water.

You walked and walked into the dense trees behind, leaving a trail of stones should you get lost.  finally you heard a trickle.

"Water!" you exclaimed.

You dart forward to the sound. You came up to a magical sight. There was a small waterfall, little caves around made by the rocks and flowers thriving around the place. You wash your shirt to get rid of Cody's blood and then went back to Cody. you used your shirt and cleaned his wounds again.

After you were done, it was evening. You walked to the rocks on the ocean and climbed up. You sat on the flattest, most stable rock and sighed. The ocean was turning from blue to orange and grey. The ball of fire in the distance was slowly sinking.

You sang to yourself as you watch the ball of fire sink into the sea.

"But someday

I will find my way back

To where your name

Is written in the sand

Cause I remember every sunset

I remember every word you said

We were never gonna say goodbye

Singing la-da-da-da-da

Tell me how to get back to

Back to summer paradise with you

And I'll be there in a heartbeat

Oh-oh

I'll be there in a heartbeat

Oh-oh"

Just as you finished the last note of Summer Paradise, the sun burst into a final explosion and completely disappeared. You were alone on a desert island with Cody, whom you had no idea if was still alive. No one knew where you were.

You felt a tear slide down your cheek.

You thought of your brother, your friends, Hailey, Alli...

You may never see them again.

Tears were constantly flowing down you cheeks. You kept brushing them away but they wouldn't stop. You took a deep breath and closed your eyes. When you opened them, you had calmed down.

Focus on what is important. You thought. Cody.

You walk back to Cody. He was still passed out. You put your finger under his nose. You felt a soft breath. time to put the CPR lesson your school taught you to good use.
