The music from the band could be heard up the road from the bar as Scarlet pulled into the parking lot. There were people outside on the porch with their beer bottles talking away the night. She walked through the doors to the bar and took a seat at one of the stools.

Hunter saw her out of the corner of his eye, made his way over to her and asked, "What would ya like?"

"I'm take the slammer," Scarlet stated as Hunter started to mix the drink.

"Sure, you don't want the red-headed slut," he joked, "I heard she is good."

"Very funny, Hunter," Scarlet said as she rolled her eyes at him.

Hunter placed the shot on the counter and Scarlet took it as she waved at him for another. She took another shot then spun around on the stool to watch people dance to the music. It was a local band that was playing and she recognized a few of the members.

Magnolia stormed into the bar, grabbed a cup that was full then threw it on Scarlet causing her to scream. Everyone in the bar turned to look at them and Magnolia yelled, "You stole my fiance."

"How the hell did I do that?" Scarlet yelled at her as she tried to stand up from the stool.

"You got into Travis's head," Magnolia said as she moved towards Scarlet about to raise her arm.

Hunter quickly ran around the bar to Scarlet as a few of the other town folk tried to hold Magnolia back. She was fighting to get out of their grip to be able to get to Scarlet, but they wouldn't let her go.

Hunter pulled Scarlet into the back room so that she was out of sight of Magnolia. She turned to Hunter and asked, "What just happened?"

"I think I might know something," Hunter stated as he looked back at Scarlet who was in shock. "I'll drive ya home though I want to check-in on Travis."

Hunter grabbed his coat from behind the bar and yelled, "I'm taking off."

Hunter helped Scarlet walk out to his car because she was a bit unsteady on her feet. Once she was in the car, Hunter walked around to the other side of the car and jumped in the driver's seat.

The roadways were dark. Hunter pulled up to the house where Travis was living and went up to the door while Scarlet stayed behind in the car watching him from the window.

She saw him knock on the door to the house, but no one came to the door. Hunter turned back towards her and walked towards the car when he stopped. He turned back to the house and walked through the door out of sight.

Moments later she could hear Hunter yelling, "Call 911!"

Scarlet grabbed her phone and began to call 911 as she made her way to the house to see what had happened. There were blood droplets leading into the living room where she saw Hunter sitting next Travis and was holding a bloody pillow to his shoulder.

"911, what is your emergency?" The dispatcher asked as the call was connected.

"We came to check in on our friend and we found him in the living room with a wound to his shoulder," Scarlet replied over the phone.

"Is he conscious?" The dispatcher asked her.

"Yes, he is responding to us," Scarlet said as she looked over in the direction of Travis.

"What is your location?"

"110 Bayview Ave in Clear Coast," she replied.

"Okay. Let me- An ambulance and officer will be dispatched to your location. Okay. Stay on the line with me. We're on our way," the dispatcher told her.
