Chapter 22- Rogura

PREVIOUSLY:
After trying to run away and fight with Natsu, Lucy ended up being taken by the fire dragon slayer but back the fight inside the forest is still ongoing.

Kagura now with torn clothes, her white headband dirty and her body filled with injuries was told by Erza to run away

She wanted to stay and continue to fight but it wasn't possible since Rogue went after her in between the fight

That means he'll not give up and keep on trying to take her, Kagura's hair flowed as she ran away

Her ears caught on to footsteps behind her making her run faster, she was tired and wanted to stop but she also didn't want to get caught

So, she kept on running, each step she took, hurting her legs and her stomach pained

But then she saw a shadow move besides her catching her attention that she didn't notice the pebble before her

She tripped on it and fell on the ground, "argh" she groaned in pain, holding her head with her hand and tried to stand up

But her ankle got twisted and she couldn't run anymore, great! Just great! She thought, moving slowly towards a tree and holding onto it for support

She stood up with alot of difficulty, her achenemy in her hands, knowing that Rogue is around her

Her eyes wandered around the forest but only to see trees, those trees all had shadows, if there's light, there's shadow

"Oh no...." she muttered under breath, with the little energy she had left, she limped, trying to find a way out of this forest

"You can never run away Kagura" a sinister voice whispered, she stopped walking, her eyes looking around the forest

"Who are you! Show yourself!" She shouted, not showing fear in her voice, a chuckle came from the voice

"How could you forget your mate's voice Kagura?" They asked, Rogue! She thought, backing away from the light behind her

"Running away won't work and I'm sure you know that" he said again and appeared infront of her

His hair which covered his eye moved behind his ear, he stared at her for a second before saying,

"I get why you're my mate now" he gave a small smile, still staring at her, she furrowed her brows at him

"What are you doing?" She questioned, backing away more from him, trying to be cautious of the shadow dragon slayer

"Nothing, I just think you're beautiful" he answered, "uh....." she was speechless but then he started to walk towards her slowly

Oh no! She thought, trying to get away from him but with her twisted ankle she fell down again and the only solution is to use her hands to move away from the dragon slayer

Rogue smirked at her situational and turned into a shadow, she tried to stand up again but fell down

"No, no, no, no, no" she kept on saying looking at the ground around her, her eyes caught her shadow moving

Her shadow took hold of her leg, pinning it down to the ground, she used her hands to use her gravity magic

Which made Rogue who was still in her shadow not control it anymore, as she kept on backing away, she hit a rock

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!" She screamed in pain, the rock scratched her in the back, her hands reached behind her back to feel that it wasn't a rock

It was large porcupine, the porcupine looked at her, it's spike sharper than ever, it being scared pricked her but the spike thankfully didn't pierce her

Rogue appeared next to her, not knowing what to do, he got scared when she got hurt

He's eyes suddenly started to change, like those of future Rogue's, from what Lucy and Erza had told her, she knew he would change

"Rogue! Wait! I'm not hurt!" She said, hiding her pain, Rogur looked at her immediately, a faint black smoke surrounding him

"Lying won't stop me Kagura" he told her, "I actually am not! Look!" She turned around and showed him her back

His eyes softened but he frowned, he walked towards her and placed his hands where she might have gotten hurt

She bit her lips from the pain, knowing she will not regret since she doesn't want him to turn like future Rogue

"I see...." he nodded and removed his hand from her back, she then turned around with a poker face

"Now....where were we at?" He gave her a smirk, she managed to stand up and was about to run again but Rogue held her hand and pulled her towards him

"I won't hurt you or will let anything or anyone hurt you, understand?" He asked her, looking deep into her eyes

She tried to look away from him, not wanting to get caught lying but it was of no use

"Y-yes...." she stuttered, a light pink blush slowly appearing on her face, he moved his face closer to hers

"And you wanna know a secret?" He asked her, she squinted her eyes at him, not knowing what he was planning to do

"Sure" she answered, "I won't ever turn into future Rogue if you're by my side or if Sting is because he's my light and so are you...." he blushed, looking away from her

"I've been thinking of you ever since the day you tried to kidnap Frosch from me" Kagura sweatdropped

"And I just couldn't stop, I don't know why, it's was weird of course....but Sting kinda helped me in that matter" he explained

"He was always with Yukino and was always thinking of her and wanted to spend every second of his life with her but he just didn't seem to notice"

"But I did....it was love, he loved her and I was in the same situation as him and so, I tried to put the pieces together and I found out I loved you"

Her eyes widened, "I really do Kagura, you are so beautiful, you are unique and really knows how to fight"

"You've kinda changed my life, you know? Trying to find ways of how to get you not to kidnap Frosch"

She rolled her eyes, "but if finding ways for you not to kidnap Frosch makes me remember you, I will happily do it again and look.....I also know we don't know each other at all"

"So, I'm not going to mark you unless you say so, okay? You became my everything just from a single minute of seeing you"

He held onto her right hand, looking at it, "if it means I'd have to wait to mark you, it's worth it, cause I love you" he gave her a smile

Kagura stood there with a smile on her face, she knew he was willing to wait for her until she's ready and that makes her feel....safe

"Thank you Rogue" she said sincerely before closing her eyes and passing out in his hands

Rogue chuckled, he knew she was hurt but she just couldn't admit it, he stared at her face, pushing her hair behind her ear

His hands went under her leg and carried her, he walked off to the hotel he reserved, especially for her

Rogue knows nothing about girls but he'll try just for her, for the only girl who caught his heart.....
