Chapter 28- Gale

PREVIOUSLY:
Minerva and Miliana are the only mates safe from the slayers. Minerva having successfully escaped Rufus and accidentally defeated Olga by herself. She is now by Porlyusica's side, taking care of the injured and telling the now conscious Elfman their progress in escaping the slayers which isn't much.....

"Are you going to be okay?" Erza asked Levy worriedly, "i-i think so" she answered, holding her knees as they walked away

"What if the slayers catch up to us? what do we do?" Levy questioned, Erza gave a sigh, "I honestly don't know" she said

Levy nodded, the leaves of a tree started to rustle, Levy and Erza gave each other a look before fastening their steps

"Okay, listen to me, I know this is last minute but when Gajeel and Jellal arrive, you'll need to run as I try to hold them back" Erza told Levy

"I can't leave you here to fend them off by yourself!" Levy protested, Erza shook her head, "I'm going to be fine, focus on you for now and try and get some help" Erza reassured

"But...." Erza placed her hands on her shoulder, Levy gave a sigh, knowing it was of no use to try and change Erza's mind now that she's made her decision

"Alright...." Levy said, footsteps could be heard in the distance approaching, "go!" Erza exclaimed and Levy started to try and run but with an injured leg she couldn't go as fast

"Damn it!" She cursed, still hoping to try and make it back to the guild in time, "Requip!" Erza shouted, requipping into her Ataraxia armour

"Rah!" Erza shouted when Jellal and Gajeel stood infront of her, using her hands to move the swords infront of her

"Let's get this over with" Gajeel smirked, cracking his knuckles and neck, "Iron dragon roar!!!!!" A grey blast went towards Erza

She used her swords and diffused the attack much of Gajeel's liking, Jellal frowned, he knew they couldn't defeat her as easily

Since these swords are capable of landing blows without making direct contact

She closed her eyes and opened them again, "Heavenly body magic!" Jellal shouted, he casted Pleiades

Erza jumped back, dodging the attack making her swords move forward and use the attack against Jellal himself

Gajeel gave Jellal a look, how will I see Shirmp now? Gajeel communicated to Jellal through telepathy

Just wait, I'll distract her while you try and slip away Jellal explained, fighting Erza in hand to hand combat

While Jellal and Erza fought, Gajeel slipped away and went after Levy, he sniffed the area to try and catch her scent

Meanwhile with Levy, she kept on running, not looking back as her leg pains

Gajeel rushed at her and snatched her by her waist, lifting her up and throwing her over his shoulder

"Ahhhhh!!!!" Levy screamed, dangling from his shoulders while he jumped onto trees

"NOOOO!!!! I DON'T WANNA DIE!!!" She exclaimed, feeling as if he was going to drop her

"Ya ain't dying here Shrimp" Gajeel answered in a bored tone, Levy puffed out her cheeks

"IF YOU DROP ME, I MIGHT!" She said logically, Gajeel smirked, he pushed her backwards making it seem like he was going to drop her

"AHHHH!!!! STOP IT!!!! WHY!!!! I WILL TELL MIRA OF WHAT YOU DID!!!!" Levy threatened and at the thought of the she-devil killing him, he put her back in place

"I knew this was gonna happen" Kevy said, calming down, used to the situation now

"Well, why didn't ya try to think of a way out it?" Gajeel questioned, Levy rolled her eyes

"Do you think it will be easy to escape you?" She asked, looking at the back of his head

"Gihi" Gajeel said, "See, you know it!" She huffed, "besides....I'm 10 times weaker than you, so, it will be easy to know that you'll catch me" Levy answered, playing around with her thumbs

"Why do ya doubt yourself so fast Shrimp?" He asked, "yet you call me Shrimp" Levy crossed her arms

"I heard ya" he simply said, "I meant for it to be heard" Levy mumbled under her breath, Gajeel shook his head

"Where are we going exactly?" Levy asked, looking up at his hair, Gajeel looked back around and looked at her

"To a den that I made for ya" he explained, "and where is that?" She raised her brow at him

He halted in his steps, "Hey!" She punched his back, "your fists still fell like tiny pinches" he teased

"We're here" he said before she could get back at him, he set her down next to him and placed his elbow on her head

She gave a deep sigh, before her eyes widened, she stared at the beautiful house before her

It was small but at the same seemed so cozy, there were wooden chairs outside which faced the woods where there was a waterfall

Gajeel suddenly turned red, he remembered that Gray and Juvia lived just down the waterfall

With his superhearing, it didn't help that he had to find out like this, Levy noticed his sudden change in attitude

"What's wrong?" She questioned, her innocent eyes, staring at him, he jumped from her question and breathed slowly

"N-nothing important, i-i just....heard stuff" he sweatdropped making Levy squint her eyes at him

He blushed a deep crimson red when she looked at him making Levy know what he was talking about

"We should go inside" Gajeel quickly came up with a way out of this situation, he carried Levy and brought her inside

"Why do you always have to carry me?" She asked, giving him a look, "with ya short legs you'll take your time to come inside"  Gajeel answered

"Yeah, yeah, not a good way to treat your mate Gajeel" she crossed her arms, "I'm the only way you could get that baby of yours" he rolled his eyes

Levy choked on her own saliva, she held onto the door sill and looked up at Gajeel, "what did you just say?" She asked again

"Ya can't get a man that fast Shrimp" he shrugged and sat down on a couch across the room with a smug look on his face

She stomped towards him, placing her hands on her hips, "excuse me! But I've gotten plenty of admirers through the years! There was Jet and Droy-"

Before she could finish, Gajeel pulled her onto his lap, "these two were the only ones" he gave a small chuckle

She scoffed, "how would you know that?" He raised a brow at her, "you didn't join fairy tail when I went on dates with other guys and I had other boyfriends who I was thinking marrying" she crossed her arms

His eyes widened, "you what!?" He exclaimed, "I thought about it with other guys, I mean....I wasn't going to stay single for the rest of my life Gajeel"

She explained, now looking at him, he looked away from her, his hands slowly travelled to her stomach and he pulled her even closer towards him

"If I knew that, I would've already done this" he said in a deeper tone, he bit her behind her neck, making two dots appear

He sucked on them while Levy gripped onto his shirt, after he finished marking her, he turned her towards him

"I shouldn't have waited so much" he told her, she gave a small chuckle, "this was before I met you, after I did meet you I never really went on dates"

She revealed, he nodded, still looking away from her, she gave a small sigh and turned his face towards her

She kissed him slowly which he kissed back immediately, they kissed inside den, the window with splashes of rain on it

The frozen rain, floating around and the sky dark like before, pulling each other closer

Not wanting to lose them to someone else
