Antonio's heart was absolutely shattered. One moment she was holding him, telling him how much she loved him and the next...
She died in his arms.
"Please... Arabella. No, tell me this is some sick joke. Where are the damn doctors!"
As if on cue, one of them rushed in and took her from Antonio. He resisted.
"Sir, please, we need you to step back."
He didn't move. He couldn't. Tears were flowing down her face as he felt two pairs of arms grabbed his shoulders.
"No! Let me go! Let me be with her! I have to help her! Let me go!"
"Calm down, Antonio! There's nothing you can do. She's... gone now, brother," Valentino said, very carefully choosing his words.
He slumped to his knees. No, it couldn't be true. He's barely had time with her.
"She's gone."
Antonio repeated that over and over while Rafael and Valentino dragged him out of the room.
He looked around the waiting room and saw Daniela and Adrianna crying. Sofia looked numb.
She looked like how Antonio felt. She, as well as Antonio, didn't want it to be true.
Adrianna walked up to him, and although he's not a touchy person, he allowed her to hug him as he broke down on her shoulder.
He couldn't describe the pain he felt. It was overwhelming. Their children... they'd grow up without a mother.
What would he tell them when they asked about her?
Of course he would tell them about her stunning beauty. How she would take his breath away when she would smile at him.
Her laugh, which was his favourite sound in the world.
How big her heart was that she let him, a monster, in.
Her internal bleeding was caused by the birth of their children, but he doesn't blame them.
He blames Him. He taunted Antonio, dangling an angel in front of him, and just as Antonio was about to reach her, He snatched her away, taking Antonio's heart too.
If it wasn't for his children, Antonio would have gave up, but they are his purpose for living now.
He watched over them as they slept. He wanted them to open their eyes. Vittoria already looked like her mother, with the same curly black hair.
He hopes she'd have the same colour eyes, so the twins would have some sort of an idea of what Arabella looked like.
They were so tiny in his large arms. They weren't as fussy as he thought they would be.
Antonio didn't know what he was supposed to do. Arabella was supposed to teach him everything he needed to know.
Why couldn't it have been him?
He set Alejandro down and wiped away the tear that had escaped.
It was still around three in the morning so Antonio just sat there, watching them... thinking.
Thinking of what happened, what's happening and what could have happened...
He wouldn't be able to fall asleep, for a long time, so he began planning the funeral.

By the time he was done, he realized he would need to change from the sweatpants he was wearing to something appropriate so he made his way back to his room.
He opened the door and sighed as his eyes scanned across the room.
All of the memories flooded back to him.
Her scent was still lingering in the air, although it was very faint.
Antonio closed his eyes as he walked to the shower.
He tried to think of anything other than her but it was impossible. She consumed him. She was his whole life and now... she's gone.
He got dressed and rushed out of the room, he couldn't be in there for another second.
"Toni, are you okay?" a soft voice asked, and if it wasn't for the fact that she had called him Toni, Antonio would've assumed it was Arabella.
Arabella never liked using nicknames, she once told him she loved his full name, it sounded more 'real' as if that made sense.
He smiled at the memory. "Toni?" Right, he forgot she was still standing there.
"Yeah, I'm okay, Dani, don't worry, I've just been thinking," he muttered, looking at his hands.
His eyes landed on a tattoo.
Arabella Camorra
Arabella often played with his hands which was why he was honestly quite surprised that she's never seen the tattoo.
He had gotten it long before she loved him, and now... he just wishes it were a reality.
"I miss her too," Daniela whispered and he looked at her to see tears welling up in her eyes.
He didn't know how to comfort her so Antonio awkwardly rubbed her back before he saw Valentino coming towards her and sighed in relief as he took her in his arms.
He gave Antonio a pitiful look and he understood he's trying to be compassionate but the last thing Antonio needed was pity.
He would never understand the pain he felt unless he experiences it himself and Antonio would never wish for him to feel that pain.
