“Oh I just heard, so wala ka palang manliligaw ngayon? Hey Raz, payag kabang liligawan ko Mama mo?” napakabog ang dibdib ko sa sinabi niya.
“Po? What’s the meaning of that uncle?” narinig ko ang pagtawa ni Trez habang nakatitig sa akin.
“Nothing, just kidding” walang nang may nagsalita pa pagkatapos niyang sabihin ‘yon. Then he pointed the ladle at me para tikman ang lasa ng niluto ko.
Inabot ko ang sandok pero inangat niya ito para hindi ko maabot.
“Come on, tikman mo muna kung okay na”
Nanginginig ako habang tinitikman ang sabaw na nasa ladle, nasa malapit lang namin si Tauruz at natatakot ako na baka mamaya ay sasampalin niya na ako dahil baka sabihin niyang nilalandi ko si Trez.
Nag-iwas ako ng tingin nang tinikman niya rin ‘yon, at galing iyon sa bibig ko for Pete’s sake! And next thing I know, nakita ko si Tauruz na tumalikod at malakas na ibinagsak ang pinto.
Napatingin ako kay Trez habang natatawa at napapailing habang inilipat sa bowl ang niluto ko.

“Yssa, gusto ni madam ikaw ang maghuhugas ng plato”
