"SAVANNAH ROSALIE SLOAN, GET UP OR YOU'LL BE LATE FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" my mom shouted, from downstairs.
I shot up,
"Fuck!" I muttered to myself, pushing the warm duvet off my body and heading to the bathroom.
After I entered the bathroom, I took a quick shower and brushed my teeth.
Once I came out, I grabbed some black jeans, a white crop top and a jean jacket, along with some black nike shoes.
I walked over to my vanity, and sat down. I curled my hair, and did a half up-half down hairstyle. I also put on some light makeup, just to make my face look more alive.
Feeling content with they way I looked, I grabbed my bag and jogged downstairs.
The fresh smell of bacon and eggs, wafted around the kitchen and living room.
"Good morning!" I greeted my parents, once I had entered the kitchen.
My dad lifted his eyes from his newspaper, scanning my outfit.
"Too much skin." He grumbled, giving me a stern look.
"Oh Richard, stop! Our daughter looks beautiful." My mother spoke, walking over to me and hugging me tightly.
"Thanks, momma." I replied, hugging her back with the same energy.
Meanwhile my dad just mumbled something, which made us giggle. He chuckled along slightly after.
He never wins against my mom.
I love my parents, not only were they both very attractive people, but they had so much love for each other. I envy them, in a good way.
When I'm older, I hope to meet someone who makes me happy, the way my dad makes my mom.
I kissed my mom on her forehead, and walked over to the table to eat my bacon and eggs.
"So pumpkin, are you excited to go back to school today?" My dad asked casually, while I ate.
"Yeah I guess, I miss my friends." I answered simply, finishing my food.
"Anyways I have to go, I love you both." I said getting up, kissing them both and leaving the house.

I was now standing in front of my locker, getting a few books for my first lesson. Maths. Great.
"Guess who." Someone asked, covering my eyes with their hands.
"Hmmm, Evie?" I asked.
"Wow rude, I thought you'd at least remember me." One of my bestfriends answered. I turned around and she was pouting like a child.
"Lex, you know I'm only joking. How could I forget this cute little bean." I said, pinching her cheek.
"Stop." She replied, giggling. I smiled at her.
"Anyways, did you hear about the new person?" She questioned.
I shut my locker after grabbing a few things, and placing my bag inside.
"Guy or girl? And no I haven't heard about that." I responded, leaning against my locker while clutching onto my books.
"I don't know, apparently this person is very mysterious. Like no one knows anything about them." She explained.
"I love my mystery men or women, you know either way, I'm sure they're hot."
"Hello to you too Evie." I said. Lexie just laughed.
Evie rolled her eyes.
Our friend group only consisted of 3 people me, Evie and Lexie. Evie was the "baddass" of the group, if you will. She has luscious, long red hair, and mostly wears dark colours. Lexie was the complete opposite, she was the "good girl" she has short, light brown hair, and she mostly wears cute, light-coloured dresses. And me, well I was in the middle. I wasn't a "good girl" neither was I a "baddass" I guess was neutral.
I have, black, middle- length hair, and unlike Evie and Lexie, I wore jeans and hoodies. I've never won anything else since I was 13 and now I'm 17. We were all the same age, but I was the oldest and the youngest is Evie. Which seems very surprising, I know.
The bell rang and we all walked to class. Me and Evie had maths and Lexie had geography.
We both sat down, next to each other.
"How's your mom?" I asked lowly, not wanting to make her sad. As I knew it was, a sensitive topic for her to talk about.
Evie's mom has cancer, she's had it for over 4 years now, but I know she will get better. She's a very strong woman.
"She's doing better, you know still not 100% but better." She replied facing forward, with her arms crossed.
I was about to say something, until the teacher came in.
"Good morning class! Before we start the lesson, I would like to introduce the new student at our school. Please come to the front and tell us about yourself." She spoke, with an enthusiastic tone.
I heard a chair being pulled back, and footsteps walking over to the front.
As he reached the front, I couldn't help myself from admiring the beautiful stranger, standing in front of the class.
He had platinum, blonde hair. A fair complexion which complimented his bright, amber eyes. He was quite tall but not basketball player tall. I couldn't help but feel attracted to him. It's like I needed to talk to him, as if there was a force pulling me closer to him.
Then he spoke up, in a low voice with a deep British accent.
"I'm Alexander."
