— | Ink | —
Ink stood on his balcony looking out over the Plaza and the districts that stretched for miles and miles. Ink couldn't explain the feeling that something was about to happen. Was it the ominous storm clouds gathered over the Center and Plaza? The small quakes that gently shook the Center? Or was it simply Dream's odd behavior as if late? Maybe it was all three that shook Ink.
Ink's eyes scanned the horizon carefully. Nothing was off. No one looked out of place or seemed like a threat. So what had him on edge? He turned his head to the sound of footsteps. He looked over and saw Core opening the door.
"Yes?" he asked in his most polite tone. If it was a visitor, he swore to Toby...
"Dream demands an audience," Core said quickly.
"Send him away," Ink said, turning back to the districts. "I would rather not deal with his newfound temper."
"Ink, I don't think I can-," Core tried to say before Ink's head snapped to her.
"Something is brewing around us. Do you think I have the time or the capacity to care for what Dream wants right now?"
"Starting to show your true colors now then?" came a new voice.
Ink looked over Core's shoulder and saw Dream standing with his arms crossed, his usual star eyes simple dots now. Dots that were narrowed at Ink.
"Seeing as though you hardly care about anyone, I didn't see a reason to request an audience," Dream said, stepping into the room. Ink quickly took notice that he had ditched his cape and his official seal. His suit and slacks had been replaced with tighter pants and a thick shirt with many pockets. It was odd but it almost looked like something you would wear if you were hunting.
"What do you need?" Ink said, his eye lights narrowing.
"I think we need to have a talk about Nightmare," Dream said.
— | Papyrus | —
"You're sure this is going to work?" Ink asked, staring at the portal.
Papyrus couldn't take his eyes off it. It was white with strands of color here and there swirling around as though chasing each other. It got darker near the center, turning into a dark void.
"It should. I've checked and double checked everything," Sci said, walking around the machine while giving it an inspection. "Though, I would suggest sending only two or three people. We have no idea what could be on the other side."
"I'LL GO," Papyrus said, stepping forward.
Killer stepped forward and nodded, his face showing only determination.
"I WON'T MIND EXPLORING ANOTHER MULTIVERSE," Blue said, going over and standing proudly in front of the portal.
"I guess this is our rescue team for Classic," Nightmare said. He turned his gaze to Papyrus and Blue and it quickly turned serious. "You had better come back with Killer unharmed or else I'll make sure neither of you can sleep for more than a minute."
"UNDERSTOOD!" Papyrus cried, holding his hands up.
Blueberry nodded vigorously at Nightmare, too scared to say anything.
Killer went over to Nightmare and whispered something to him. Nightmare pushed him away with a smile, Killer laughing with Nightmare saying 'Shut up.' Killer quickly went back to standing beside them.
