He had also heard the marching. The ground shook slightly from wherever it was coming from. The Fancy Classic grabbed everyone's souls with his magic and pulled them all into an alleyway. By this point the sky was pouring rain, soaking all of them instantly. The clouds were so thick that it seemed to be night instead if the afternoon. Thunder rumbled ominously in the background while lightning flashed across the clouds.
When Papyrus saw Ink march past the alley, he was about to start wondering if he had come through the portal with them. Then the he saw the suit and realized that this was the multiverse's Ink. Soon, other people flooded into view. It was an army. Why was an army marching? By the magic starting to weigh heavy in the air, he guessed that the Fancy Classic was ticked.
He saw Killer straighten and saw another Killer marching with everyone else. He wore a black jumpsuit with knives strapped all over it. Following him was Horror, Dust, and Cross. He half expected Nightmare to follow but remembered Blue 2 saying he was in the dungeons for helping his brother.
"That jackass," Fancy Classic said, magic sparking even more.
"WHY? ISN'T INK SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD?" Blue asked. Killer instantly clamped a hand over his mouth which earned an indignant squeak.
"He should be but he isn't. He's been hunting your Classic to wipe his memory before sending him back," Fancy explained. "Problem with that is that memory wiping can be messy. Nightmare and I had voted against the use of it because it could cause complete memory loss."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" Papyrus whispered.
"Well, we saw it cause a Sans to forget that he was in a pacifist timeline and murder his Frisk within a few hours of being back. Another case in which Asgor forgot who he was and the whole Underground was left wondering where their king went," Fancy explained. "That was probably the reason Nightmare helped him out. He didn't trust Ink to not wipe his memory."
Papyrus slowly let out a breath. The Nightmare here was definitely good and he was glad he had gotten away but he wished his brother hadn't been forced to hide. They watched the army go by and stepped out of the alley once they had passed.
"Shit," Fancy Classic said. "You all need to get back to the Center."
"Aren't we going to get caught doing that?" Killer asked. "Why would we go to a place where we could get our memories wiped?"
"Why do Killer's always have to be so untrusting," Fancy Classic muttered. "Look, the lab can track your multiverse based on your magic signatures. They can send you back home and hopefully your brother will follow. Take my seal and this note. They shouldn't touch you since I have better relations with the lab than Ink."
Fancy Classic quickly wrote a note on a paper from his pocket and handed it to Papyrus along with the pin on his cape. Killer promptly took the note from Papyrus's hand and read it over. He didn't seem to want to trust it, but it's not like they had much of a choice on the matter.
"THANK YOU!" Blue said to the Fancy Classic. "WHERE WILL YOU BE GOING ASSISTANT ME?"
"I'm going to go with you to the Center. I need to find out where Error is," he explained. "If Ink's really about to go into a battle, the other side will need all the help they can get against Ink."
"You all should get going," Fancy Classic said as he turned down the street after the army. "Hopefully I'll see you all safely back in your own multiverse."
With that, the Classic teleported in a flash of blue light. Papyrus looked at Killer who was still looking at the note. "WE NEED TO GET GOING."
