Peter POV-
*Beep Beep Beep* Ugh, why? *Beep Beep Beep* Please no. *Beep Beep Beep* I groan loudly and shut off the alarm clock from hell. I go to roll over, but end up falling on the floor. Forget wrong side of the bed, I literally woke up and fell to the floor. When I'm up and almost steady on my feet, the pain in my leg comes crashing back down on me.
"Ah shit." I sit on my bed, attempting to blink the sleep out of my eyes. It takes a few minutes, but eventually I'm able to start my day.
In less than an hour, I'm out of the house and walking to school. It hurts, but I ate, so I can feel the pain from my cut subsiding from the spider's healing properties. My walk to school in the morning is always my favorite. It's time alone to just be Peter Parker. And just time alone in general. My school isn't very far from my house, so it only takes about 10 minutes until I can see the large brick building of Midtown School of Science and Technology looming over the horizon. I look to the spot I meet my best friend, Ned, every morning and see him wave.
"Hey Ned. What's up dude?"
"Hey Peter. Not much. You?" We walk into the school as we talk.
"Same old bullshit. Oh, but that new number you gave me was wrong. I texted some random person at like 3 in the morning." He laughs and apologizes, but at that point, I was already to my locker and waving goodbye to him. We don't have any classes together until last period, but I would see him at lunch. I walked to my first period class with my head down; just trying to avoid a 'friend' of mine.
"Hey Penis Parker." Oh shit. "Wait... can you even call yourself Parker? It's not like you have parents to pass that name down to you. Stupid orphan shit." Does he... does he know how genetics work? You need parents to be created..? Dumbass.
Good old Flash Thompson. The bane of my existence since 7th grade. You would think he would avoid the family-less topic, but no of course not. To him it's a point of impact, a weakness if you will, and he's right. I don't look up; I just walk into my class and take a seat. I try not to show emotion, but there was probably no point. I still felt a small tear escape. You think it would hurt less after so many years.
It's lunch time. Thank god it's lunch. It's not that I dislike school, I just need a break. My brain hurts. I sat down at the table I share with Ned and MJ. I didn't have money for food today, so I'm not going to eat. That's okay, though, because I normally don't get breakfast, so it kind of evens out. They sat down and we talked a little bit, nothing out of the ordinary. But while I was waiting for lunch to end, I got a text.
