Snow Day! - Part One

It was Christmas Day and for once, Jupiter was home. Because of this, Morrigan was ecstatic. Before they had heard the news, Morrigan, Jack, Martha, Charlie, Dame Chanda and Frank were planning to have a snow day (Kedgeree had to work and Fen doesn't like snow). After they heard the news, they had invited Jupiter to join them. Now, at a frozen lake, the 9 of them (Fen had decided to come watch, dragging along Kedgeree who had found a replacement) stood, ready to join the frenzy of skating Nevermoorians.

Morrigan was both nervous and excited - she had never been ice skating before, but was happy to spend the day with her new-found family. They all just stood there, waiting for one of the them to walk out first and then join. Fen got sick of this pretty quickly and pushed Frank out onto the ice. The tiny man turned around, stuck his tongue out at Fen and called to the others to hurry up.

"Oh come on! We'll be moving onto another activity by the time you lot get out here!"

Chanda laughed, grabbed Kedgeree by the hands and glided out. Martha, Charlie and Jack followed as Jupiter offered a gloved hand to Morrigan, eyes twinkling mischievously, "Come on, it'll be fun." With that, he pulled her out onto the ice.

Slowly but surely, Morrigan got the hang of skating, push and glide 2, 3, push and glide 2, 3, push and glide, 2, 3. She and Martha had just skidded to a halt to laugh about a ridiculous joke they had overheard Frank telling Fenestra (the vampire-dwarf had decided to have 10 minute break) when Jupiter zoomed over.

"Having fun?"

"Yes!"

Jupiter chuckled, watching the other four skate over, all looking happy but exhausted.

"Well then, shall we move onto have... a snowball fight?"

"Yes!"

"Fantastic!"

"Sure!"

They all made their way to the edge of the lake, counting the amount of times they had fallen. So far, Chanda had fallen once, Martha twice, Morrigan three times, Kedgeree four times, Jupiter twelve times and Jack and Charlie had managed to stay upright despite the amount of times the others had tried to knock them down. Well.... that was until just then-

As they were gliding to the edge, Jupiter lost his balance.... again and had somehow dragged both Charlie and Jack down with him.

"Ouch-"
