It was gloomy outside and Regina couldn't help but stare out the large windows and look at the gray sky. It was also Friday so today was movie day at school. The kids were watching Disney movies today and Regina was more than happy for the distraction since it gave her time to think about herself. Her and Robin have been living in pure bliss for a few months and she was starting to think that something was going to blow up in her face.
Robin is the perfect boyfriend and had amazing surprises for her birthday and Valentine's Day. He had bought her a gold necklace in the shape of a heart with an arrow through it. Had explained that her love pierced his heart like an arrow. She loved him. There was nothing else to it but she was still having some thoughts that kept jabbing at her.
Whatever has been bothering her with Robin was being drowned out by the long process of trying to become Henry's adoptive mother. Emma had given her the idea and has been helping her with it since she's decided to come back to Storybrooke. She even convinced her boyfriend to move down to Maine with her. One joy Regina has been having was constantly interrogating the man about his intentions with her best friend. She's been happy these past few months so what's holding her back?
Ring! Ring!!
"Alright, class," Robin said as he moved to pause Beauty and the Beast. "We'll finish off the tale of Belle and her beast after lunch.
Regina watched with a little smile as the kids ran out of the classroom and headed to the cafeteria. It was pizza day so she was expecting to get a lot of students praising the pizza once they got back. Children were so pure and Regina's heart was aching a little since lately she has been having huge cases of baby fever. However, babies were a big challenge and she knew Robin wasn't ready for that just yet. Or maybe he is? She should probably ask him and she filed that away in the many questions she wanted to ask him.
"Oh, Ms.Mills," Robin called as he tried to get her attention. "Come over here and pay me a visit."
Regina got up from her chair and perched herself on top of his desk. "Hello, handsome. I'm sorry I've been in my head all day."
"It's okay, trust me," he said as he placed his hands on her thighs. "We've talked about this before and I just want you to tell me what your thoughts are. Don't hesitate when you're with me."
She leaned over and kissed him softly. "You're a good man, Robin Locksley. You do so much for me and I never do much for you."
"Nonsense, you're here and that's all I need. But I do need a favor and I was going to ask you later about it."
"Oh? Well, come on out with it. I want to know what I can do for you."
"We've been dating for almost six months now and I know we're getting serious. We live together fully now and I can't picture my life without you. My birthday is coming up so I was hoping that you would like to meet my family."
"You want me to meet your family?" Regina said and her heart had stopped in its tracks. "I-I'm flattered that you want me to meet your family but I'm also horrified. I've told you before I'm horrible with families."
"I beg to differ. You're great with me and I consider you family. You and Emma are practically sisters and your bond is unbreakable. Just because you had a bad experience with your family doesn't mean you're bad with family. You're going to be a perfect wife and a phenomenal mother, a.k.a. you're great with families."
"You think I'm going to be a perfect wife?"
"You'll be a perfect wife for me. I'm not letting you go at all," he said as his hands moved up to wrap around her waist.
She lifted up an eyebrow and smirked at him. "Is this a proposal?"
"Oh, absolutely not. When I propose I want to do it the right way. I want to look my best and have a great evening planned. You can call this more of a promise of sorts."
