Astral Jade's story is a long one. Filled with friendships, victories and defeats galore, but it is a worthwhile tale nevertheless.
Once a Unicorn from Canterlot, now he lives a simple life in Ponyville. Away from his judgemental father.
But one adv...
Ponies around the town were mildly shocked as Astral Jade appeared in place after place with a flash of mint green.
The stallion was practising his teleportation spell in an attempt to be able to move around several times a minute without becoming tired.
After the various bright colours of the cakes and sweets lining the shelves of Sugar Cube Corner disappeared, Astral saw white for only a moment before his eyes set on a purple mare.
Their faces were so close, their noses were almost touching.
Astral stepped back, sending Twilight a bashful grin.
"Afternoon, Twi. Sorry, I was practising my magic. I was aiming for outside Golden Oak Library." He told her, lowing a hoof from his neck. The mare infront of him seemed equally flustered at their proximity, but gave him a kind smile.
"It's not a problem, Astral. Spike was helping me with some of my own magic this morning too. Maybe...we could practice together sometime?" She only met his eyes a couple of times while speaking her offer.
Astral nodded.
"Sure! That sounds really good!"
In truth, thinking of the Library made him think of Twilight, hence he ended up right infront of her.
They didn't notice Spike watching their interaction with a smug grin. Clearly he could see what the pair could not.
But before he was even able to word his own greeting to the stallion, the little dragon was charged into by 2 colts. One had a blue coat and an orange mane, while the other had a golden-yellow coat and a cyan mane.
The tan stallion had seen them around town before, but never had a reason to ever interact with them.
"Augh! Snips, Snails! What's goin' on?" He heard Spike choke out while he was being pushed along in the rush.
"Wha, haven't you heard?" The two skidded to a halt, sending Spike flying.
"There's a new unicorn in town!" Snips exclaimed excitedly.
"Yeah! They say that she's got more magical powers than any other unicorn ever!"
"Really?" Twilight and Astral had caught up and were now standing beside each other. Twilight almost looked worried.
"Aw, no way, that honor goes to Twilight. Oh and Astral too! Remember the time he fought Nightmare Moon head on? And when he used his magic to shield you?" Spike interjected, calling back to the night he and the others became friends.
Astral had always been confident in his abilities, but never to the extent of showing off. He knew that his talent was magic, due to his cutie mark. At least, it wasn't Astrology after the telescope incident as a colt. He loved exploring the different types of magic, be it defensive, illusion based, transfiguration magic or even the more aggressive kinds like beams and attacks. Astral enjoyed them all, not because he thought he was better than anypony, but simply because using magic was enjoyable for him.
"Where is this unicorn?" Twilight asked.
"Ho, she's in the town square. Come on!"
Astral leaned to the side, speaking in Twilight's ear.
"Is it just me, or are they way too excited about this mare?" He raised a brow, but Twilight shrugged.
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see."
