Chapter 15

AFTER A WEEK
" Ammar you better come out in the next min..."Fahad yelled at Ammar who was taking his time in getting ready
"Save your energy man" Ammar said with a straight face
"You know you take your time in getting ready just like girls with makeup" Fahad said and Ammar ignored him while he was checking an outfit out

"Or are you taking your time to look good for Amrita" Fahad teases which he smirked at him
"I knew it, you have feelings for her" Fahad jumped from the bed
"Oh please you wish" Ammar quickly mask his face up with a frown
"Haba buddy I've known you like forever now tell me" Fahad said winking at him

"Hey do you know the reason Momma sent for me" Ammar changed the topic
"Gaskiya I have no idea but that doesn't mean I let you go, we will have this discussion once again when we all come back" Fahad sternly said and Ammar nod his head
As they all left to Momma house.

Upon entering the house, they heard some noises and before they all could react, Amrita came in chasing after the twins, she was dressed in a baby pink hoodie paring it with a sweat-pant, she tied her hair in a bun

Amrita was busy chasing the kids and she hasn't acknowledged that there was a person in the living until when the kids shouted
"Darling uncle" they yelled as they rushed towards Ammar and he engulfed them in a bear hug, Amrita stood there motionless staring at the person in front of her.

Fahad cleared his voice and Amrita came back to her senses and re-adjust her hijabi, she was looking everywhere but the two creatures standing in front of her.
"Um.. I wi..will call Momma" she stuttered as she quickly went out of the room before Fahad burst into laughter.

"Uncle why are you laughing " Sabrina asked confused
"Oh no sabrina don't worry my sweetheart, come I have something for you" Fahad said looking at pissed Ammar while he smirked at him

"Hey just a minute bro" he said and left with the kids before Momma and Didi came into the room.
"Ina yini (Good afternoon)Momma" Ammar bow a little to great her
"Lafiya kalau (I'm fine)my prince " she answered as he went towards Didi and gave her a side hug and a peck on her left cheek

"Morning my one and only sis" he greeted
She smiled and reply to his greeting. They all settled down at the living room, Momma was now looking all serious and Ammar knew there was something behind the sudden change of Momma's behaviour
Momma looked at Didi
"Je ki sauko da Amrita" ( go and bring Amrita down)
Didi nod her head and went to call Amrita

After some few seconds they came down the stairs and they all settled at the living room.
Momma picked her phone and dialed some few digits.
"Fahad maza kazo parlour Ina jiran ka" (Fahad come to the parlour, I'm waiting for you)

Now everyone was settled at the living room before Momma begins
"Umm Ammar inason duk abunda na tambaye ka, Ka fada min Gaskiya(umm Ammar I want the truth about anything I ask you, I want nothing but the truth)" Momma said sternly
Ammar heart started beating fast thinking of what Momma would possibly asked him because from her tone she sounded very serious

"Hmm insha Allah momma I will say nothing but the truth" he manage to speak as he glance at Fahad and Amrita.
"What is going on between you and Amrita?"she asked looking all serious
"And remembered you have to tell me the truth" she said

Amrita's heart was on a marathon race same as Ammar, she was shocked at Momma's sudden question and she feared the worst
"Momma why do you ask me such questions kinsan..." Ammar started
"Um um Ammar I know everything I just want to hear it from you" she said
Ammar glared at Amrita and she shook her head in fear.

Ammar kept quiet for a moment then looked up to Momma, Didi, Fahad then finally Amrita before he began to narrate the whole story again.
Amrita was crying because anytime her story was being brought up she remembered her father's word and how he humiliated her, but deep down she really missed him a lot, he is her father after all

Momma sigh and looked up at Ammar
"And now what is Amrita's status to you" she asked
He looked up to her and answered
"M..my w..wife"
"And you know she is your responsibility ko" she asked again
"Yes momma" he answered

"does his highness know about this ?" she asked
" No momma" he answered
"Now you know that this can't be hidden from his royal highness"
He nod his head
"Tomorrow we all shall be present at his chamber and we will talk about it" she said
Ammar's heart skip a beat same as to Amrita, he looked up to Momma and nod his head

"You two can go" she point towards Amrita and Didi as they both left the living room.
She turns towards Ammar and fahad
"Ammar I want you to promise me something " she said
"What is it momma" he asked
"from the time I've spent with Amrita I've found her to be an obedient girl even though she is still young for marriage but she is matured and intelligent" she continue

" I want you to promise me that you will protect her for the rest of your life together Ammar , you know how the people of the palace are, she is naive and she can't deal with their shenanigans and the stress" she said
"Insha Allah momma i promise you" he answered
"And..."she continued
"And please Ammar take care of her" this time around Momma had tear in her eyes

Ammar quickly went to her and hugged her
"Momma you know you are my mom right, and I don't want to see tears in your eyes you know I hate them right"he said
Momma nod her head as she wiped her tears

"Momma we gonna get back to the office we left some work undone" Ammar said and they both left the room.

Fahad looked at Ammar who was work up about what Momma said earlier. Ammar knows deep down in his heart that sooner or later surely Momma will know about her but he didn't expect it this soon, and now he is more worried about Amrita he doesn't know why he is having some bad feelings about her going to the palace and the worst part is that he can't stop thinking about her

Fahad was smiling at him and Ammar only glared back at him
"How can you just sit there and be looking at me and smiling like a Christmas foul" Ammar glared
Fahad burst into laughter
"My guy abeg if I look like a Christmas foul then you look like a sick lover puppy who is lost in a jungle" Fahad said

"Wait does that even make sense" Ammar said rolling his eyes
"Whatever man" Fahad said
Fahad sigh as he look at his worried friend
"You know Amrita is a nice girl and for a fact she is beautiful" fahad said
"Yeah I know" Ammar said lost in his world

"Hey I'm over here man" Fahad tease and Ammar glared at him
"Like seriously man, follow your heart and always remember, always keep Allah in your heart and he will guide you" Fahad said
"Thanks man you're the best" Ammar said before they both went back to their respective office.

"Didi what do you think will happen tomorrow, I'm really scared" Amrita said trembling
Didi hugged her and said
"Insha Allah Rita nothing of that sort will happen to you sai alheri" she reassured her

Momma came into the room and saw the dio she smiled and walked towards Amrita and hugged her
"Why is my daughter trembling in fear"
"Momma I.."Amrita said
"Shush don't worry everything will turn out fine" she said wiping Amrita's tears

"I don't think my brother will want to see his bride like this" Didi teased and Amrita snuggled more into Momma and Momma burst into laughter
"Hey stop teasing my baby" she said
"Amrita I'm so glad you came into Ammar's life, and I pray for you two to be happy always " she said as she pecked her forehead.

"It's time to sleep, tomorrow is gonna be a long day" momma said
"Kulu go and check up on your kids it's late and get to sleep, your Abba must be back" Momma said and left

Amrita went to sleep thinking about these people and their generosity , she is so glad she found them in her life . Tomorrow her life is going to take a turn (we pray it's a good one)
