Hitori,

I try not to apologize for the fact that my feelings are different from yours. I know this letter will make you happy, but I am not sure if it's good enough.

You are the strongest, most warm-hearted person I have ever met. I have never encountered anyone who thinks like you, from books to real life. The way you see the world helps me see the world. And the world is lucky to have you in it.

I love to see you working on your art, putting your creativity and soul into your creations. I love that you are made happy by the smallest things, like strawberries. When life has felt so complicated, your bright simplicity brings a smile to my face.

I also love that you are a little crazy. And a little dimwitted. But please don't follow a psychopath into an alley no matter how handsome he is. I worry about you because your heart is so pure. Not all people are good people and not all bad people can be forgiven. I hope as you age and mature, you'll see this and be better able to handle hardship and protect yourself. Still, I also hope your optimism and your warm-heartedness for people never leave you. I love you, Hitori. You are my best friend. You are my family. You are my partner. Let's live a long life together.
