Chapter 7

Alexis's POV

Right in front of me, I see Nolan, Lou, and Dexter in the center of the crowd. Dexter was on the ground, looking all hurt and scared, as Lou was standing in front of him and yelling at him while Nolan is on the ground behind Lou. It looks like Lou is standing up for Nolan, but I don't know what happened.

"Don't you ever do that again or I'll hurt you even more!!!" Lou yelled at Dexter. This caused everyone to gasp in fear after what Lou said.

Oh, no. Now they'll think that non-hybrid dolls are dangerous.

Just then, Val got in between Lou and Dexter. She then looks at Lou.

"Lou. What's going on?" Val asked him.

But before he could answer, Dexter answered before him.

"I-I was just t-trying to help them, b-but Lou took it t-too far," Dexter said in pain.

"What were you helping them with?" I stepped into the conversation.

"I wanted t-to help them by showing them a-around, but I-I guess they didn't w-want help," Dexter said in between stutters.

"But why are you and Nolan on the ground?" I then asked.

"I-I accidentally bumped into him when I was g-gonna leave them, b-but Lou thought I d-did that on p-purpose," Dexter explained.

"What are you talking about?! Of course he did!!" Lou shouted.

"LOU!! STOP IT!! YOU'VE DONE ENOUGH!!" Val then yelled at him as she helped Dexter up to his feet. Lou's look then softened after what my sister said.

Val looked furious.

Val's POV

I was so furious at Lou!! Why would he do that to Dexter? It was only an accident.

After I helped Dexter up, he looked down with tears in his eyes.

I tried to comfort him, but Dexter already left. And after a few seconds, so did the rest of the hybrid dolls.

"Val, I didn't mean to. Really," Lou said.

I didn't even want to look at him.

"Don't, Lou. I don't want to hear it," I said as I walked away.

"Val, wait!" Lou called out.

I didn't listen to him. I just walked away from him. I don't know where I was going, but I at least need to be away from him for a while.

Is our relationship gonna end after we leave?

Alexis's POV

After I helped Nolan up, I went over to Lou. I then placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Just let her be alone for a while. She'll cool off faster," I told him.

Lou lets out a sigh and looks at me.

"I didn't mean to do that to Dexter. It's just that he did bump into Nolan on purpose," Lou told me.

I then look at Nolan, and he nods in response.

"But why?" I asked.

"I don't know. Maybe he was just trying to make us feel uncomfortable," Lou guessed.

"But, he seems too shy to do that. Why did he do it now and not before?" I then asked as I paced back and forth.

"Maybe someone gave him orders to do that," Nolan stated.
