Possesive Feelings
Joohyun was about to leave the classroom when she hears Nayeon call her name. It was lunch break and students were in a rush to leave, so it takes Joohyun some time to spot her. She finally sees Nayeon standing near Jinyoung's desk. She was waving at her, gesturing her to come over, while Jinyoung and Jackson were standing there smiling at her. Oh no...oh no no no...Not this again!
Joohyun looks at the door in front of her, trying to think of a way to escape this situation. Nayeon, seeing Joohyun just stand there, making no move to approach them, marches up to her, takes her hand and drags her towards the boys. No! This can't be happening again! Joohyun thinks squeezing her eyes shut.
When they come to a stop, Joohyun slowly opens her eyes and sees that she was standing right in front of Jackson, facing him. She sees him looking at her with a huge grin on his face and gives him a small hesitant smile in return. Nayeon clears her throat and Joohyun braces herself for what's coming next. And she's not disappointed.
"Joohyun, this is Jackson, as I already informed you once before," Nayeon begins, giving Joohyun a smirk and she remembers the not so pretty description Nayeon had given her of Jackson once before. "And Jackson, this is Joohyun, my 'pretty like an angel' seatmate that you've been dying to meet," she finishes facing Jackson.
Joohyun resists the strong urge to cover her face as a wave of embarrassment washes over her. She looks up at Jackson with wide eyes. Her own embarrassment comes down a notch when she sees Jackson's ears turning bright red as he stands glaring at Nayeon, who just blinks at him with an innocent look on her face. "What?" She shrugs. "Haven't you been pestering me for days, asking me to introduce you to her? Nayeon retorts.
Jackson just shakes his head and sighs before turning to Joohyun with a charming smile. She is shocked at how quickly he recovered from Nayeon's disastrous introduction just moments ago. "Hi, Joohyun. I'm glad to have finally met you," he says smiling confidently, no trace of his previous embarassment evident in his voice. "Um, nice to meet you too," Joohyun manages to say mustering up a weak smile.
He takes a step closer to her and runs his eyes over her face as if taking in her features. He then suddenly grins. "So, Joohyun...are you single or-" Before he could finish, Nayeon grabs his ear and twists hard. "Aaah! Are you crazy!? He yells, pulling away from her. "Didn't I already warn you about this?" She glares at him. "Hey! I was just getting to know her!" He returns indignantly. Jinyoung just stands there laughing, seemingly enjoying the drama.
Joohyun secretly eyes the door, planning her escape when she catches sight of Taehyung and Bogum standing just outside the door. Taehyung was looking at her with a straight face and Bogum was standing behind him with a hand on his arm, as if he was holding him back. Bogum sees her looking and gives her a tight smile and a nod.
Joohyun turns back to see Jackson and Nayeon still arguing, going back and forth. "Um...I have to go...my club members are waiting for me," she says. She sees Jinyoung give her a sympathetic smile and a nod. She smiles and quickly turns around, not waiting for others to reply. She walks away, not wasting a second more.
As she nears the door she finally relaxes and lets out a relieved sigh. She smiles up at Taehyung and Bogum as she approaches them. Bogum returns her smile but Taehyung just stands there unsmiling, with a serious look on his face. She looks at him confused, as she comes to a stop in front of him.
"We finally meet again, Joohyun-ssi," Bogum interjects smiling at her. "Please just call me Joohyun," she says smiling back, when she suddenly remembers that she had to return Wendy's book, which she was going to do before she got caught up with the drama back there. Wendy had told her she'd wait for her in the lunch break. "Um...is Wendy still in her class?" She asks Bogum. "She was when I was leaving," he replies.
