'Video games and bonding'

It was Saturday and Joohyun was meeting up with Taehyung for their video game date. Yes. She had somehow convinced Taehyung to go ahead with their original plans. Or more like guilt tripped him into it. She never knew what a little sulking and acting cute can accomplish before last night.

Joohyun had just gotten off the cab and was making her way to the retro gaming center they had found last week. If she remembers correctly, it should be just up the street.

She was wearing a light pink satin floral printed skirt that fell just below her knees. It was perfect to hide the scrapes on her knees. Though her leg wasn't hurting today, she knew Taehyung would be mad again if he saw the bruises that had turned a deep purple in color overnight. She paired the skirt with a black knitted long sleeve top which hid her bruised elbow. Her hair was tied up in a loose ponytail today, leaving her face bare.

She could see the sign for the game center up ahead. As she gets closer, she can see Taehyung waiting for her in front of the building. He was dressed casually in a printed tee-shirt and jeans. He notices her approaching and his face brightens. He waves at her and she quickly runs up to him.

"You look pretty," he says with a smile as she comes to a stop before him. She is stunned for a second before she quickly recovers and returns his smile. "U-um thanks," she says looking down, feeling flustered. This was the first time he had complimented her on her looks and she didn't know how to react.

When she looks back up, she sees that Taehyung's attention had already shifted and he was now staring at her covered knees with a slight frown. "How are your wounds? Does your leg still hurt?" He asks, his voice laced with concern as he continues to stare at her knees. "All good now...and I don't feel any pain as I mentioned last night already," she says and grabs his arm. "Let's go...I'm excited~" She drags him inside before he could interrogate her more or ask to see her knees.

As she steps inside, she is hit once again with the same feeling, as if she had suddenly entered a different era and that weird sense of nostalgia she felt that day was back. They are greeted by the vintage vending machines near the entrance as they walk in and the speakers were playing what sounded like retro 80s pop music. To their right was the video game store and to the left was the game center where you could play the games.

Taehyung goes to the check in counter asking her to wait for him. She walks up to the wall displaying vintage posters to take a closer look at them, which she couldn't do the last time they were here. She notices a poster for Korean Air Lines which had 'Your Wings to and in Korea' written on top with an airhostess holding a model plane in her hands. There were also some posters for old movies which she didn't recognise and some travel posters.

"Joohyun, let's go," Taehyung calls from the entrance to the game center. Joohyun hurries up and follows him in. The room was just as Joohyun remembered. One wall was lined with old arcade machines and that's where Taehyung heads first. He sits down at one of the machines with a child excitement on his face. Joohyun sits down next to him.
