Chapter 3 - Smooth Talker.

I rushed to the back as quick as I could. I wanted to get at least most of the coffee off before Jake came back. I couldn't believe that I met that hot of a guy while sitting on the dirty floor with my coffee all over me. As I pushed the door to the back room open I saw a sink on the far side of the small room. Nobody else was in the room which was a relief, I needed to scrub my clothes in order to get these stains off. I almost ran to the sink. I ripped off about two feet off of the paper towel roll and instantly drenched it with water. Jake wouldn't be much longer I had to hurry. I scrubbed my white pants first because they had the worst stain.

To say the least, this was working horribly.

"Is it working?" Jake asked as he walked into the room. He had my latte and bagel in his hands. He still looked like he still felt slightly guilty about my fall.

"It's not working great. I think I'm going to have to go home with these stains. But hey! Don't worry about it. It's not at all your fault. I don't blame you for this at all." I explained as kindly as I could to him. I threw out the paper towel I was holding and looked down at my pants. It looked like I had wet myself because of how hard I was scrubbing to get the coffee off.

"You look like you've wet yourself." Jake pointed out the obvious. "Do you want to take my apron? I'm done my shift and it would cover up all the stains." he offered after a small pause. He was so kind. My heart wanted to burst.

"Would you really let me borrow it?" I asked. "For all you know I could be a murderer. You have only known me for fifteen minutes" I pointed out. I looked at him noticing he was biting his lip ring again. Hopefully it wasn't as easy to see that I was nervous.

"Well at least I will be lending my apron to a beautiful murderer." Jake replied smiling. I probably looked like a tomato again. He was a smooth talker. I was too stunned by this complement to reply back to him. Jake untied his apron and walked towards me. He slid it over his head then slid it over mine. He walked around me and tied up the back of the apron. Jake came back and stood in front of me. "What?" he said in response to my shocked face. To be honest it was shocking how nice and caring he was being to the girl he met fifteen minutes ago. I dated Oliver for two years and he wasn't ever this kind to me.

"I just don't know how I'm going to give this back to you?" I explained. He smiled his award winning, beautiful, gorgeous smile. He reached forward and pulled my hair out from under the apron.

"I guess I will just have to put my number in your phone." Jake smirked and shrugged innocently.

"Is this how you get girlfriends Jake? Making them slip on floors and spill coffee on themselves? Then just swooping in. Then in the end smooth talking them into letting you put your number into their phone?" I joked. He laughed scrunching his eyes and flashing his bright smile. He was truly the most amazing looking guy I had ever met.

He looked back at me and answered "No, I thought I would try something new today." Jake laughed and ran his hand threw his hair. Honestly I was more than happy to let Jake put his number in my phone. I wanted to talk to him again and I wanted to see him again. He seemed perfect to me. He was a funny, sweet, kind, smooth talking, good looking guy.

"Fine." I said handing him my phone. He grinned and took it out of my hand. He typed for a while and turned my phone off handing it back to me.

"There you go! I sent a message to my self so that you could find my name easily." Jake said smiling like I just gave him a puppy.

"Gee, thanks what would I do without you Jake?" I sarcastically replied.

"I think I'm going to ask my friend Louis to come pick me up so that I don't have to walk home in your apron." I told Jake.

"What? You don't like my apron? Is it too lame for you?" Jake teased. I dramatically rolled my eyes at him. He was ridiculous... I liked it.

"No. I was just going to ask if I could wait back here instead of sitting out in the café with the café's apron on but not actually working at this café?" I asked Jake. He laughed and crossed his arms.

"What? Working in this café isn't cool enough for you?" Jake sassed me back. He was getting annoying but I wouldn't want to be talking to anyone else.

"Would you just answer the question Jake!" I said angrily back. He put his hands in his pockets.

"Yes Sophia, you can stay back here until your friend gets here." Jake replied smiling like a dork at me. "But I do need to leave because I promised my mom I would eat at her place." He explained.

"Ya that's fine. I understand. Thank you for all your help Jake. I don't know what I would have done if you didn't offer to help me." I told him. He pulled his coat off a coat hook on the wall beside us.

"It was no problem, honestly. But listen, your latte and bagel is right over there." Jake said while pointing to the counter beside the sink. "Your computer bag is hanging on the coat hook beside the one I just pulled my coat off and last off, I'm going to need that apron back Sophia so you're going to need to phone me." He flashed me his award winning smile one last time before leaving the room.
