Chapter 4 - Warning

Louis only took about fifteen minutes to get to the café after I messaged him.

Louis: I'm outside waiting.

Me: K. Just grabbing my things be out in a sec.

I slipped my phone back in my pocket and picked up my bag. I had already finished the latte and bagel that Jake had brought me. When I left the café I saw Louis' old red car about three stalls down. I walked over to the car with my head down knowing he was laughing at my apron outfit already.

"Do I really need to say anything about your outfit?" Louis asked. I gave him my death stare and looked back down at Jake's apron.

"Go ahead Louis. Make fun of the apron or make fun of the fact I'm super clumsy. It's not as bad as meeting the hottest guy while you have coffee all over you." I told Louis watching him for a reaction. He looked at me quickly with a shocked expression and then looking back at the road. I started forming the story and how I was going to describe Jake to Louis.

"You met a hot guy while leaving a café where your ex and you just fought?" Louis said it like I had just won a Olympic medal with my eyes closed. I do agree that it's very weird but its not unheard of. Is it? "You are going to tell your best friend everything right?" Louis questioned me.

"Of course, but can we wait till we're at your flat and we can actually look at each other?" I asked him. I wanted to get everything right when I told him. He just nodded his head in response.

We were back at his flat in no time. When we entered the flat Louis instantly ran upstairs to get me something of his I could change into. I showed myself to the living room couch. Louis came down holding a white T-shirt with red stripes and white sweatpants.

"Thanks." I said standing up and taking them from him.

"When you get back down here you are explaining everything that happened in that café after I left Sophia." Louis told me. I could tell that he was excited to hear what happened. Louis always seemed to want to know what's going on in my life. I think thats why we are such close friends. I always felt like I was important to him.

When I got back downstairs Louis was sitting on the couch on his phone. I walked over and took the chair across from him. He put his phone away and looked up at me.

"Tell me everything." Louis said with true interest. I honestly couldn't wait to tell him about Jake, but I wasn't too excited to tell him what happened between me and Oliver.

After telling Louis about Oliver it was time to tell him what happened between me and Jake.

"He was so kind Louis. He was nicer in the 30 minutes we talked then the two years I dated Oliver," I started to explain to Louis. "And he is really attractive. I mean like super attractive." I told Louis. He looked up and laughed at how passionately I was telling him about this.

"Tell me Sophia, why is Jake so 'super attractive'?" Louis mimicked me. Even though he said things like this and mimicked me I could tell that Louis cared about this.

As I told Louis about how perfect Jake was in every way possible I started to wonder if I'm jumping into this to quickly.

Once I was done telling Louis about Jake i just sat there smiling at him. Louis wasn't smiling back. I recognized the look on his face. It was the look that meant he about to give me a lecture about my decisions. The smile on my face slowly disappeared as I sat back in the chair and waited for him to start.

"Do you think that maybe you're jumping into this a bit to fast Soph?" Louis asked me. It was amazing how much we thought alike. Sometimes I feel like he is reading my thoughts. "I just don't want you to get hurt again so quickly." Louis said softly.

"I don't think I am jumping into this to quickly. I'm going to try to take it slow." I told Louis. It was nice how much he cared about me. He always wanted what was best for me. He was always there for me.

"Good. The last thing I'm going to ask about this is are you sure you aren't using Jake as a rebound boy?" Louis asked watching my reaction to see if he has offended me. I looked him square in the eye before replying.

"I'm going to take this slow." I tried to reassure him that I was going to be alright. He nodded in response. Louis looked at his television breaking our eye contact.

"Do you want to watch a film?" Louis asked me. I looked at my phone to see the time. It was already 3:00 in the afternoon, I needed to get back to my flat and change so that I could return Jake's apron to him.

"I got to go sorry. I still got a lot to do today. Thank you for picking me up." I told Louis. I stood up and started walking to the door putting my shoes on. When I was done Louis pulled me into a hug and gave me my bag.

"I'll return your clothes tomorrow, yeah?" I asked Louis while walking out the front door.

"Yeah. I'll see you tomorrow then." Louis said before closing the door behind me. I walked down the block to catch the next bus to get home.

"Sophia! Sophia!" I hear someone calling me. I turned around trying to figure out who and it just happened to be the last person I wanted to see.

Oliver.
