Ash's POV

"We're going into a tournament?!" That's the first ever thing that came out from Leaf's mouth

Me and Koharu sweatdropped at her sudden outburst.

For some weird reason, as she called out the word 'tournament', pokemons around us perked up and looked at us with those familiar faces.

"Look what you did." Koharu stated with a small laugh.

"But seriously, we will be joining a tournament?" Leaf asked again.

"You heard it right Leaf, Diantha seems to call us and wants us to join a school tournament." I explained to her.

"Should we go to school in order to do that?" She asked out of curiosity.

Yep, that's what I thought too.

"Not necessarily Leaf, so, what do you say?" I asked her.

"You don't have to ask! I'm so in!" Leaf cheered in excitement.

About time we enhance back our battling skills, it's been a long time since we battled someone, this might be a good opportunity for us, especially Koharu.

For that to work, I have contacted Professor Sycamore and Sakuragi, mentioning that we will be out towards Vaniville Town for a couple of days to join a tournament. They complied and gave us best wishes.

I'm kind of excited how the battles will go on, with that, our pokemons can stretch and have their battles.

And no, no using of legendary pokemons for now, I want to give my other pokemons a chance of battle, besides, it's clearly not necessary to use a legendary in such small tournament.

After informing Leaf about the tournament, I also informed the pokemons about it, some are hyped on which who I should pick for the tournament.

And after thinking about it, I finally decided on who I should be going with.

The next day came by, me and the others are off towards Vaniville Town, the place where the school was located.

Vaniville Town was surely a peaceful place, we can feel the serene atmosphere engulfing the town, Fletchlings are happily chirping on the trees.

But what really caught out attention is the ridiculously huge school in the middle of the town, the gates are so wide and I can almost see some wide battlefields up ahead.

"W-Well, it's really expected since this is a battling school." Koharu managed to say at least.

The sight had our jaws drop, and not until a certain pokemon professor have arrived.

"This school's being directed by no other than Diantha, so every works of her seems pretty normal, no matter how extravagant it is." Said Professor Sycamore as he walked beside us.

We looked at him in surprise.

"P-Professor Sycamore! We didn't expected you to come here." I said in surprise.

"I happen to be one of the teachers here in this school, I've been specialized in mega evolution class." Professor Sycamore said and smiled.

"Y-You're a teacher here?!" Koharu and Leaf exclaimed.

Wow, who knew Professor Sycamore was also a teacher here, I clearly didn't expected that.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Let's go in!" Professor Sycamore offered.

And with that, the four of us went into the school, and it didn't let us down, the hallways are so large, and there's so many trainers roaming around, showing off their pokemons, as well as interacting with each other.
