"Hello!" Sonia greeted Marinette's parents as she walked into the bakery.
"Hello..."
"Mom! Dad!" Marinette cut Sabine off as she rushed down the stairs to lead Sonia closer to her parents.
"This is Sonia Agresté, Adrien's sister."
"Oh, Marinette, even if you didn't say it, we can tell. She is so pretty. Welcome Sonia."
"Thank you."
"Come on up to my room." Without waiting for a reply, Marinette led Sonia up to her room. Sonia noticed the many pictures of Adrien but she didn't comment on them, rather, she walked over to admire Marinette's sewing machine.
"This is nice. I like your designs."
"You've seen my designs?!"
"Yeah, Marinette. Did you forget I see everything the Kwamis see?" Marinette chuckled uncomfortably.
"Oh, sorry."
"Thanks for having me over. I know that having just Chloe as my friend is not exactly right when I'm surrounded with such great friends. We are friends, right?" Sonia asked with an arched brow.
"Of course we are. I'd like to be your friend." Sonia beamed, hugging Marinette tightly.
"That's great! New friend Selfie!" Sonia said, pulling out her phone and taking a selfie with Marinette.
"Oh! I forgot. Dad said you guys can use his old Hawkmoth lair as your official superhero lair."
"Really??" Marinette squeaked, excited.
"Yeah. It's been a week since we laid Mom to rest and he is healing, though slowly. He has no more use of that room, so he's giving it to you guys, as a thank you."
"I am happy. I'll thank him whenever I come over. Is it okay if he knows our identities?"
"Yes. Just like the Kwamis, he won't be able to reveal your identities to anyone. But I trust that he won't."
"Yeah, sure." Marinette laughed awkwardly.
"Tikki? You know you don't have to hide when I'm around." Sonia called. It took a second, then Tikki came out, rushing to snuggle Sonia's cheek.
"Well, hello to you too." Sonia laughed. Marinette watched them for a while, trying to build up the courage to ask Sonia the one question playing on her mind.
"U-urh, S-Sonia...?"
"Yeah?"
"Which is your favorite kwami?" Sonia stilled. Tikki burst out laughing.
"It's obvious. It's the one kwami she is always wearing his Miraculous."
"You are wearing a Miraculous?" Marinette asked in disbelief, scanning Sonia's body. "What is it?"
"Contacts." Sonia said grinning.
"What? You're wearing contacts?"
"Yes. It's main color is neutral but it can change colors if I want it to." As Sonia was talking, her eyes changed into different colors, first blue, then red, orange, violet and finally back to it's natural green.
"Wow! Is it a Chameleon kwami?" Marinette asked, awestruck.
"Nope." A soft Kwami voice answered before Sonia could. It flew out of Sonia's purse.
"Plagg?!" Marinette asked, confused. Then the kwami turned into... Tikki!
"Tikki?! I don't understand?"
"He doesn't have a fixed appearance, Marinette. He can be any Kwami he wants to be, I mean, he has all their powers."
"All?!!" Marinette shrieked.
"All. Not just the ones in your box but of all the other boxes that were destroyed along with the temple." Sonia turned away to hide her sadness. Marinette reached for her hand in comfort.
"I'm sorry about what happened to the other Kwamis."
"Thanks. It's okay. Well, I keep Rogue with me because his power is extreme, a normal person could die from just wearing it."
"His name is Rogue? Wait... A person could die from just wearing it?"
"Remember when you had to wear all the Miraculouses in your box to help save Tikki and Plagg? Do you remember how you felt when you wore them?"
"Yes. My body couldn't really handle it. Master Fu said... Wow!"
"Yup! Now think of what happens when someone wears the one Miraculous that has the power of all Miraculouses ever created."
"That won't be good."
"But I know someone who can. With enough training and her big heart, she can definitely use the alpha Miraculous."
"Really? Who?" Sonia took both of Marinette's hands in hers.
"You. No one has been able to handle more than three miraculouses at once, but you..." Sonia dropped her hands, took off her contacts and put them in a Miracle box. Then she handed it over to Marinette.
"This is actually what I came to give you today. I know this is selfish of me, but of all my past lives, this is the first one I was able to find someone who can handle Rogue. I have never really had time to actually live a life and now I have the opportunity because of you. If you use him, that means there won't be much I'll be needed for. Please, can I trust you with this?" Marinette sat there staring at Sonia and not understanding a word she just said.
"Marinette?"
"Are you sure you want to give it to me?
"Very sure. I made it for someone, didn't I? Can that someone be you?"
"Y--Yes! You can trust me with Rogue." Marinette took the box and grinned at Sonia.
"I'm glad. You can't use Rogue yet until you are at least eighteen, just so we can be sure that your body can take it. But anyway, I trust whatever decision you make, just let it be the right one."
"I'll keep that in mind."
"Good." Sonia stood up and rummaged around her purse, taking out an envelope and handing it over to Marinette.
"From Adrien." Sonia said. "From the appearance of your room, one could easily say you are in love with him."
"A...ahh... What...what?"
"I already know Marinette. Kwamis, remember? And besides, Adrien has always been in love with you as Ladybug. Anyway, don't break Luka's heart, let him off easily and if you let him go, just know that I'm grabbing for keeps." Marinette's eyes shone.
"You... You like Luka?"
"Yes, I do. Before I left for boarding school, I've always noticed him and I had a crush on him ever since."
"Sonia, I would..."
"Shhhh... I know you can do anything for me, but I want to earn his love, I don't want it handed to me on a silver platter. Here's a tip: Adrien likes you a lot and if he wasn't already in a relationship, he would have asked you to be his girlfriend a week ago. He is also uncertain of your relationship with Luka. One more thing, I know Kagami loves Adrien, but it's only because he is the only option she has now. Give it some time, when her mother finally releases her, she will realize that Adrien isn't the one for her and then you can be with Adrien, if he is the one for you."
"Thank you, Sonia."
"Hehe... Adrien is probably going to kill me when he finds out that I just summarized his letter."
"Huh?" Sonia burst out laughing. She was cut off by her ringing phone. Gabriel Agresté. She put it on speaker.
"Dad?"
"I can't find the butterfly Miraculous anywhere! I think it was stolen."
"What???" Sonia and Marinette yelled in unison.
