"Mmm... These camembert cheese are to die for." Plagg said, dumping a heavy piece of cheese into his mouth. Adrien only smiled, trying to concentrate on his homework.
"I don't like that bangs girl... Going through your stuff like she owns the place. Please don't let her come into your room again." Adrien finally looked up from his homework. Plagg was still stuffing his face with more smelly cheese.
"I know Lila is dishonest, but she isn't a bad person. Maybe she lies just because she wants to make more friends."
"She's not a bad person? Have you heard her name? Lila! It rhymes with liar! I tell you, that girl lives and breathes lies. She is even worse than that Chloe girl."
"Plagg...?" Adrien said, giving him the stink-eye.
"Alright, fine. But I do not like her one bit."
Suddenly the door opens and Gabriel is standing there. Plagg hides immediately.
"D...ad?" Adrien stutters, not sure if Gabriel saw plagg or not.
"Who were you talking to?" Gabriel asked, looking around the room and finally his eyes rests on Adrien.
"No one. I'm just doing my homework."
"I heard voices." Gabriel said flatly.
"It.... it's a school play I'm practicing for... Urh... Uhmm... I do voices to fit the character." Adrien lied, shifting uneasily in his chair. Gabriel just stood where he was, not going out or coming in. He only stared at his son.
"Um... Father... If you would... Urh... excuse me, I'll go back to my homework now." Gabriel didn't move. He took a moment, then he walked in, and went over to sit on Adrien's bed.
"Come sit by me." He ordered coolly. Adrien obeyed, though nervous.
"I know that ever since we lost your mother, we have not been close because I've been too busy focusing on work than on you." Adrien couldn't believe what he was hearing. Has his father finally realized his mistake and is finally seeing him?
"I want to mend our relationship. I don't want us to be so distant anymore."
"Really, father?" Adrien asked with so much hope in his eyes.
"Yes. With that said, I don't want anymore secrets between us." Gabriel reaches for Adrien's hand and lifts it, looking at his ring. "You are Catnoir, aren't you?"
