Chapter 3: Scherzo

Scherzo - a playful and lighthearted musical tune

It has been a week since the day Y/N met Chaewon and his new friends at the academy. Now that he's finally getting himself familiar with the day-to-day activities of the school, he was finally able to adjust well and cope up with the rest of his class.

Lately, however, he seemed concerned about something. Someone has been leaving notes to him every day he went to school. Whenever he goes to his locker, or to check underneath his desk before class, he always finds a paper with a same message on it. At first, he tried to keep it to himself, thinking it was just someone who's playing a prank on him. But since this has been going on for an entire week, his sister sensed something about him every time he goes home, which got her worried. Eunbi tried to talk to him about what's bothering him, but he simply smiled at her and tells her that he's just tired from school.

She then decides to talk to him about it as they walk to school the next Monday.

"All right, tell me the truth, Y/N. Someone has been bothering you lately, right?"

"No noona, nothing's wrong. Like I told you a few days ago, I'm just tired, especially when we got both lessons and club activities every day." He said unconvincingly.

"I know when you are worried about something, Y/N. I am your sister after all. As for your activities, Chaewon and Felix told me that you're not having any trouble adjusting to your lessons, in fact, you are doing well this past week. I think you've forgotten your promise not to keep any of your concerns from me especially if it's something important. Now tell me." Eunbi said with a serious tone.

"All right, noona, I think-" He was cut off when Chaewon and Felix came up from behind to greet them.

"Good morning, Eunbi-noona and Y/N! I see you two are coming to school early as usual." Chaewon said as the two simply gave them a slight smile. Felix noticed that the two were more serious than usual.

"Uh, if it's okay for me to ask, but are you two having an argument just now?" He asked the two.

"It's okay Felix. Since you're both here, I might as well ask you two. Have you noticed anyone doing something bad to Y/N this past week?"

Having heard this, the twins suddenly looked concerned as they both stared at Y/N, who sighed.

"Well noona, no one in our class treats him like that. In fact, everyone is really nice to him."

"There's no one like that in our club as well, noona. If there really was someone doing that, Felix, Han and I can easily know about it. Plus, he's always with us at school, so I don't think anyone would try to bully him when we're around." Chaewon said assuredly to Eunbi.

"I see. Thank you for that you two, but it still didn't answer my question Y/N. Don't even think about lying to us about it." She told her brother as Y/N prepares to say something.

"All right. I promise to tell you three as well as Han all of it. But can it wait until lunch? I mean it's going to take a while for me to explain everything."

"That's fine. Felix and Chaewon, I know I don't need to tell you this, but take care of him today too okay. I'll see you three this afternoon." Eunbi said as she goes ahead to her class. Chaewon and Felix looked at Y/N with concern, as the three of them head for their morning classes.

Lunch Break

The four of them went to their usual spot during lunch, but this time, Eunbi was with them. They decided to finish their meals first, when Y/N finally decides to tell the truth.
