Decisive Battle

3rd person pov

Y/N: She asleep?

Xenovia: Yeah

Y/N: Good, let's go

Glancing back to where Asia was sleeping the two left in order to finally deal with Rias and whatever she had in store for them which was most likely the Maruader and maybe her Peerage.

As they went through the streets of Kuoh to get to the academy Y/N couldn't help but be nervous, the night reaching it's peak while the moon hung high in the sky meaning they'd be at their max strength.

However before they could even get close the Marauder lept down from a rooftop, swinging at the teen causing him to dodge. He fell onto his side but rolled out the way of a stomp and summoned his Sacred Gear.

In response Xenovia drew her piece of Excalibur and slashed at the Pale Demon but he blocked with his axe before ramming the butt of it into her stomach, swiftly knocking her away.

She crashed through a building window before he turned to Axe and flicked his Axe down while drawing his shotgun from his waist, loading two shells into it as the teen did the same.

Marauder: It's finally just us. Usurper, you shall see my strength

Taking a deep breath Y/N charged at him, swinging his Doomblade only for the Maruader to block it with his shield and dash back, the shield disappearing when the Pale Demon raised his Axe.

He swung it making a wave of magic fly out so Y/N rolled out the way, firing at him allowing some of the pellets clip his side, the teen thinking for a moment only to be met with a boot to the face.

Stumbling back he about managed to block a sweep from the Marauder's axe by stepping on it before trying to get him with the Doomblade but his fist was caught and swiftly overpowered.

Going to draw his shotgun the Pale Demon went to fire only for Xenovia to jump back in and slash it in two. He swiftly jumped back, bringing his axe with him as the two stood side by side.

Summoning his wolf it lept at them but Y/N raised his arm, having it bite down into his gauntlet before firing into it's stomach, making it disappear while the church servant went ahead.

The Maruader raised his shield and blocked her strike so the teen went around and fired the meat hook from his Super Shotgun, getting it wrapped around his arm before pulling.

He struggled, attempting to pull the Demon but thanks to the strength difference it didn't work and the teen was yanked forward and elbowed in the throat before Xenovia was shoved away.

Holding his neck in pain Y/N dropped his weapon so the Marauder went to slice but the teen thankfully raised his head at the right time, the axe hitting his helmet which saved yet dazed him.

In his dazed state the teen stumbled back and summoned his Chaingun, firing wildly at where the Demon was in an attempt to hit him or at least hold him off as he collected his bearings.

Thankfully it was successful as the Marauder was forced to block them all, preventing him from attacking before Y/N gathered his senses and stopped, launching an ice bomb from his shoulder turret.

Once again it was blocked, but it clouded his vision allowing the two to back away, needing to form some kind of plan as it was clear neither of them were strong enough to do this on their own.

They hid in an alley as the Marauder looked around for the duo. Catching his breath Y/N briefly removed his helmet and took deep but quiet breaths, glancing to Xenovia on his left.
