Everything was perfect until the sound of Bonnie's phone rang through the dining room.

" Sorry ", Bonnie apologized, " let me just check this message quickly then I'm all yours again ".

Quickly, Bonnie pulled out her phone and scanned her eyes across the message. What ? Why are they texting me ? What do they want ? Bonnie's eyes widened and her mouth dropped open.

" Who is it ? ", Kol asked looking at Bonnie, " Bonnie ? ", he asked, growing nervous at Bonnie's lack of reaction.

The thoughts rushing through her mind overwhelmed her, she knew he should ignore it and move on, but she couldn't help herself. How could they ? After everything they had done to her how did they have the nerve to message her and ask her for help !

Kol turned Bonnie to face him, " Bonnie ! " Kol said as the family turned to look at Bonnie and Kol worriedly.

Slowly a tear rolled down Bonnie's cheek, her eyes flicked to her boyfriend and she dropped the phone on the stone ground.

Looking up at her family Bonnie slowly stood up, " I'm gonna go up to my room ", she said quietly as more tears rolled down her cheeks.

Slowly Bonnie walked up the stairs, tears streaming down her cheeks as she opened the door to her and Kol's room. As she shut the door she sat down on the edge of the bed. Resting her face in her hands, Bonnie cried quietly into her palms, her body shaking with her sobs.

Eyes never leaving the stairs where Bonnie had previously been, Kol was the first to speak, " Who was it ? ", he asked.

Walking over to where Bonnie's disregarded phone was, Katherine picked the device up and gasped.

" Who is it ? ", Freya asked Katherine.

" It's the Scooby Gang ", Katherine said with malice and venom in her voice.

" What ! ", the rest of the family replied surprised at Katherine's statement.

Taking the phone from Katherine's hand Rebekah read over the message before adding, " It says that they want her to return to Mystic Falls and help them ", she said with disbelief.

" They have no right ! ", Klaus said angrily.

Seeing how Kol was still staring at the stairs Freya advised her brother, "Go and see if Bonnies okay, we'll clear up dinner ".

" Thank you sister ", Kol said before speeding up the stairs to comfort Bonnie.

As Kol reached the door to his and Bonnie's shared room, he slowly turned the handle before entering the room. Upon entering the room, he shut the door and turned to the bed and saw Bonnie sitting with her head in her hands, walking up to her he placed an arm around her and pulled her into his chest as she sobbed. Looking down at her he saw the love of his life sobbing into him, he swore to himself that he would always protect her.

" How could they, I've spent years trailing after them, always trying to help them. After my mom left and my dad was never home I went to my grams and then she died, FOR THEM ! I went to them, cried to them and finally I reconnected with my mom after years. Years of me thinking I wasn't good enough for her, and what do they do ? They kill her. Why was I never good enough for anyone ?" Bonnie said as she clung to Kol's body.

" Bonnie... ", Kol said lightly as he laid a hand on her cheek forcing her to make eye contact with him, " YOU, are amazing they're just too blinded by their selfish ways to see what an amazing person you are. You don't even need to try for them, you've got a brand new family one that loves and appreciates you. We all love you so much, don't let your selfish friends ruin that ", Kol said pulling her into him.
