When Love Lasts

> Chapter 9 <

As Christmas eve rolled around the house buzzed with excitement the house smelt of Bonnie's baked goods. Bonnie and Kol were sitting in their room wrapping the gifts they had bought for the rest of the family. The pair passed gifts back and forth laughing and joking at each other.

" I must admit I have never done this before ", Kol said jokingly to his girlfriend. As he passed her another wrapped present which Bonnie placed on the growing pile.

" What manual labour, or gift giving ", Bonnie said sarcastically, throwing him a look that Kol knew all too well.

" More like I've never done christmas ", Kol said in a disbelieving voice, " I've been alive over a thousand years and I have never done christmas ", he said.

Staring at her boyfriend wide eyed Bonnie slowly placed down the box she was gift wrapping and crawled over to him and sat in his lap. " You mean to tell me you have never experienced the joys and horrors of christmas ", Bonnie said as she sat in his lap and kissed up his neck. " Well at least your first christmas is with your family ", she said.

" More like I'm happy I get to spend my first christmas with you darling ", Kol said as he looked at her lips then back into her eyes as a smirk spread across his lips.

" Hey don't think that you're finding out what I got you for christmas ", Bonnie said lightly tapping his nose as she crawled out of his lap to where she was previously sitting.

" How could you accuse me like that! ", Kol said dramatically placing his hand on his heart.

" Whatever ", Bonnie said, rolling her eyes as she threw another unwrapped present at Kol who smiled to himself before wrapping the small box.

Waking up,Rebekah turned to look at the clock on the side of her bed, excitement coursed through her body as she turned to Marcel who was still sleeping next to her.Throwing her arms over his torso she shook him until he woke up.

" Marcel, MARCEL, MARCEL ", the vampire yelled as her boyfriend slowly opened his eyes. Looking up at his girlfriend Marcel quickly pulled her down into his arms.

" Something happening today love ", Marcel asked grinningly, looking into his girlfriend's eyes.

" IT'S CHRISTMAS, I LOVE christmas, come on get up ", Rebekah said pulling on pajamas over her underwear and grabbing Marcel's hand and running out of the room.

Laughing, Marcel watched as Rebekah went through the hall knocking on people's doors until only Bonnie and Kol's door was left. With the magic of christmas running through her. Knocking quickly, Rebekah did not wait for a response before walking into the room where she saw Kol walking over to the door hand reaching for the handle.

" Morning", Kol said cheerily before walking past the rest of the family, " You're too late, she's already downstairs," he said.

" Damn her and her ability to wake up early", Hayley said under her breath.

As the family walked down the stairs they saw Bonnie Bennet drinking a hot drink and reading a book. Upon hearing the family's arrival Bonnie Bennet looked up and smiled at the collection of immortals.

" Merry Christmas", she said warmly placing down her book and walking over to hug them, "the floor is yours", she said to Rebekah", who happily bounced to the front of the family and clasped her hands over her chest.

"Okay for the newbies", she said looking at the Mikaelson family, " The plan is we eat breakfast, do presents and have fun, go team",Rebekah said, clapping her hands together. As the family ate their breakfast Rebekah continuously smiled until the whole family had finished when she grabbed Marcel's hand and ran into the living room.
