Hello my readers!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my book! This is one of my first attempts at writing! For years I have been a Wattpad member, reading so many great books. Now I'm ready to start a hobby of writing some!
I am a college student, so at times I will be busy but will try to upload chapters as frequently as I can.
Please excuse any grammar mistakes! I will get to it as soon as I can!
Please be kind to one another and I hope everyone is well! :)
I hope you enjoy!
Love,

I quickly enter the high school with my head down and hands stuffed in my pockets. I head towards the office to collect my schedule and locker number.
As I spot the office assistant I say, "Hello! I'm Everleigh Verelli, I'm here to pick up my schedule and locker number."
She smiles in return, "One minute please!"
We make small talk while she looks for my things through the computer.
Once I receive my papers, I thank Linda and leave.
I recall that Linda said my locker was on the second floor. I quickly scan the halls and locate the staircase and follow the flow of students going up. When I arrive on the second floor I pull out the piece of paper with my locker number on it, 626.
While looking down, I turn the corner and am hit with something hard, I grunt as I take a step back covering my boobs and rubbing my head.
I look up to see a boy wearing a hoodie and sweatpants quickly closing his locker and stepping towards me.
"Shit! I'm sorry, are you okay?," Locker Boy says as he runs his hand through his hair.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I mean I usually take a coffee as my wakeup call but getting hit with a locker works too." I huff out a laugh as I drop my hands to my sides, Locker Boy cracks a sheepish smile.
"I'm really sorry, I usually leave it open all the way. I just didn't see you coming."
"Don't worry about it. Do you think you could help me? I'm looking for locker 626."
"Yeah, you're right next to a friend of mine. I can show you."
"Cool, thanks." I smile as I follow him.
We walk in silence when Locker Boy speaks up, "First day?"
"Yep. Nothing like being a new student in your senior year."
He stops beside a girl with pixie cut hair and ankle boots, "And here's your locker." He turns to the girl and says, "Hey Bexley."
She turns with a blinding smile, "Hey Cas!" Her attention turns to me and she waves to me, "Hi! I'm Bexley, what's your name?"
"Everleigh" I smile slightly back at her.
Cas butts in, "She's a senior too, first day here. She needed help finding her locker and you happened to be the one next to her, so I thought you could help."
"Of course! It's no problem, I can show you the ropes kid! Oh wait you could be older than me..., but regardless you're new so it's kid." Bexley rambles on and I laugh.
"Thanks. I think I'm good though, I just needed help finding my locker," I responded.
"Nonsense! We can compare schedules and I can show you where the classes are and the cafeteria. Oh my god, the best time if I say so myself. You can sit with us! Well, if you'd like to. But let me tell you, do not ea-."
Cas cuts her off, "Bex, you're rambling again."
Bexley laughs, "Oh I'm sorry Everleigh, I never notice when I'm doing it! But I'm sure you can get used to it. There's always so much to say. Like these lockers! Oh right, lockers! Okay before I forget, it can be tricky opening these lockers-"
Cas interrupts her again, "Alright, I have to go get ready myself. I'll see you guys later? And sorry again Everleigh."
"It's no problem, just don't go around whacking girls boobs, they can be quite tender you know." I wince as I look down at my poor abused babies.
"Woah, woah, woah! WOAH! What happened? What did you do Cas? I could never have guessed you, tiger. Tell me! Tell me what happened!" Bexley says with eyebrows raised looking between us.
I slap my hand to mouth already regretting what I said. I never think before I speak. Oh, how my mouth betrays me. I look up to see a panicking Cas with a tomato shaded face.
"Uh. Um- I um. I'll see you later!" Cas blunders before making an escape back to the direction of his locker.
"I've never seen him like that! Oh just wait until I tell the others," Bexley cackles as her eyes follow him into the crowd.
As I'm about to ask Bexley not to say anything, a bell rings in the hall. I look around confused.
"Oh, that's just the warning bell. We have ten minutes until classes actually start. Okay now these lockers, you twist right, left, right, bang, and pull. The school never tells us about the banging but who knows why. Now give it a try and I'll look at your schedule." Bexley states as she grabs my book bag and takes my schedule out.
I start to twist my combination, right, then left, and right again. Then, I bang the locker and pull, but it doesn't open. I turn towards Bexley, she was watching me.
"Okay that's good and all, but you have to bang the locker. Like, bang it hard. "I give her a look as my mind swan dives into the gutter. Bexley soon realizes and starts to giggle, "Oh you know what I mean."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I say as I roll my eyes and proceed to attempt to open my locker again. I bang the locker and am about to pull when Bexley says, "Harder!"
So I proceed to bang it harder as she says harder progressively louder each time. We do this for a minute until I hurt my hand and groan.
My mind continues to swim upstream in the gutter as I realize what this must sound like. I look at students around us who are giving us odd looks. I turn around quickly hiding my face as Bexley reaches around me and pulls, "You did it Everleigh!"
"Thanks, Bexley, how could I ever have done it without you," I say sarcastically.
"I have no idea! Okay but this schedule! You have first-class with me and one before lunch! I can escort you!" She says excitedly, slamming my locker shut, throwing my bookbag at me, and grabbing my hand leading me to our first class.
"So I never had this teacher before, but I've heard good things from her. But here at Bloomsdale High, the first day is just going over the syllabus for each class. Don't worry about anything, I got your back." Bexley continues with a wink as we enter the classroom and settle down at desks near the window.
