"FREE! Free at last!" Bexley shouts as she runs out of our history class once the teacher dismisses us. I laugh as I quietly follow behind her.

However, I soon lose sight of her as she continues to dash ahead. I sigh and decide to make a pitstop at my locker before heading to the cafeteria. When I arrive Bexley is at her locker talking admittedly to Cas and another guy who is leaning on my locker. I observe him from a distance, a faded haircut, and a built body with fitting clothes and a smirk as he listens to Bexley speak.

As I approach, Cas spots me first and smiles slightly in greeting, Bexley must see it because she soon turns around and shouts, "There you are!"

"Here I am!" I say sarcastically back as I approach.

Bexley laughs, "I love this girl!" Then she gestures to me, "Kaden this is Everleigh! Cas found her and she's new and I have taken it upon myself to be her mentor!"

"Hi Ever-," Kaden begins.

"The heck? Found me? Am I a dog?" I direct at them as I stand in front of them with my hands on my hips.

"The cutest of dogs!" Bexley beams.

"You're nuts girl!" I laugh looking at this crazy person.

"Aww, I love you too!" Bexley says as she advances towards me, hugs me tight, and swings me around.

"Bexley! Bexley stop!" I say as my head swings back and forth.

"I feel like I have been replaced," Kaden says to Cas.

Cas huffs out a laugh and Kaden comes out of nowhere halting Bexley by grabbing her by the shoulders.

"Baby, let go of pup and let's go get some lunch," Kaden whispers in Bexley's ear and she lets go of me. I land on shaky legs.

"Hey! I'm not a kid or a pup!" I say glaring and pointing at the spinning images of these insufferable people.

Cas ends up grabbing my arm and points it in another direction which ends up poking Kaden in the eye.

"DAMMIT! Not again! I meant to point her finger in the right direction! Sorry man!" Cas says apologetically.

Cas turns away as we all hear him grumble, "It was supposed to be funny."

Kaden turns to Cas, "Dude, it's alright. My eye is still in its socket so no problem."

Kaden squeezes Cas's shoulder, and Cas attempts to smile back. My heart warms at how loving this group of people can be.

I look away as I bang my locker and pull it open, I throw my book bag in and shut it, "I'm ready for lunch if you guys are."

"Aright, bet," says Kaden as he wraps an arm around Bexley's shoulders.

Somehow and someway, Bexley had looped her arm around mine and dragged me with them as Cas followed behind us letting out a laugh.

Kaden gets confused by this and looks over to me, "What the...," shakes his head, "I'm not even going to ask."

We travel down the stairs to the first floor and make our way down an art-filled hallway, getting closer to the loud noise of people.

We soon enter the cafeteria. My mouth waters as I smell hamburgers and start to gravitate in the direction until I'm pulled back.

I let out a whine, "But the food."

"The line starts over there silly," Bexley points as she shakes her head.

"Sounds like Esme," Cas says as he gets in line behind me. The others nod their head in agreement before immersing in their own conversation.

"Who?" I ask as I turn to him.
