Good Enough

Birthday

Jack was awake in the 3 of the morning. He wasn't crying but making really cute voices. Josh woke up with those voices. He slowly get out of bed, trying not to wake his wife up this early on her birthday. He went to the little baby room, filled by Amy's paintings, lots of toys and Christmas ornaments. It was Amy's idea to start Christmas decorating from Jack's room, so that Jack would get used to it. Josh went to the blue crib. His son cheered up when he saw him. He smiled to him and take him in his arms.

"Shh Jack. We don't want to wake mommy up this early on her birthday, do we?" He put his index finger on baby's tiny lips. But this only caused Jack to take his finger in his mouth.

Josh didn't know what to do. It was obvious that Jack was not going to sleep any soon. So he decided to close the door and play with his baby son until he gets tired and fall asleep.

It was almost 4:30 am when little Jack decided to sleep. Josh carefully put him in his crib and made his way back to his bedroom where his beautiful wife is sleeping.

Amy woke up with an amazing smell. She took her phone and checked the time. It showed 10:56 am. She got out of the bed and made her way to kitchen. She saw Jack in his feeding chair and Josh making pancakes.

"Good morning darling." Amy said making Josh jump.

"Oh my god, Amy! you scared me! you supposed to be sleeping."

Amy stopped playing with his son and turned to her husband. "So that you could eat all of those awesome pancakes? I don't think so."

She placed a brief kiss on Josh's lips.

"You're not aware of the date right Ames?"

"Nope. Why?"

"Well lets just say I was making those pancakes for you as a surprise. I guess that's enough as a clue." He kissed her again.

"It's my birthday, isn't it?" Amy giggled as soon as they stopped kissing.

Josh smiled her. "Happy birthday. I love you so much and I'm gonna love you for like billions of years."

"Hmm if you keep using those romantic words you can make me forget that I got 1 year older and turned into 33."

They shared a laugh. Jack made louder voices as he wanted to have attention.

"Where's mommy's baby boy?" Amy started playing with her son, causing him laugh loads.

"Boo Jackie mommy's getting older."

"But she still looks hot."

"Oh shut up!" She kissed Jack. "Daddy is being such a perve."

"It's not my fault! I've been waiting to have sex with you for more than a year! 14 months actually."

Amy laughed and hugged him. "I am sorry babe. Maybe I can fix it tonight." She winked him before starting to eat her pancakes.

"Sounds fair."
