We walked down my street, I was confused. Then she opened the door to a house across the road from my house. That's amazing, she lives right opposite my house!
"Mum, I'm home!" her mum appeared infront of us. She smiled at me.
"I'm Mrs Duncon, but call me Debra!"
"nice to meet you Debra, I'm Ava!" I smiled back at her. Lucy then ran upstairs so I ran after her, we walked into her room. Justin Bieber posters everywhere. HELL YES! We turned to face eachother and instantly she knew I was also a belieber. We screamed jumping around, I ran up to one of the posters.
"i have this one! he looks so perfect omg"
"I know, he's so beautiful!!"
She got out her laptop and logged into her Facebook, I sat next to her on the bed. I looked at the laptop screen, oooh. Jake Thrupp is messaging her. I smirked.
"so, what's going on with you and jake?" I nudged her gently.
"nothing..." I raised my eyebrows.
"oh c'mon, im not stupid" I laughed, "tell me!" she bit her lip nervously.
"I like him..." she admitted.
"awww! and?..."
"he asked me out at lunch today when you and Cody walked to last period" my mouth widened.
"you didn't tell me!!!" she laughed.
"sorry! I was going too!" I laughed back.
"who cares! Haha when are you guys going out?"
"Saturday.." then she lit up and looked at me.
"WE CAN DOUBLE DATE AVA!"
"Lucy, Ava, are you girls okay?!" we both burst out laughing.
"yes, sorry mum!" I looked at her and shook my head while laughing.
"anyway, we can double! me and jake, you and Cody!" I rolled my eyes.
"what?! No! Cody wouldn't ask me out!" she looked at me blankly.
"right, do you think Cody's hot?"
"yes.." I mumbled.
"do you think he's sweet?" I frowned.
"is the relevant Lucy?"
"just answer the question! Do you think Cody is sweet?"
"yes, I do."
"right, would you say yes if he asked you out?", I smiled a lil.
"yes"
"there you go, you like Cody." i widened my eyes.
"no I dont!"
"think about it Ava, you do" okay, maybe she was right. Maybe I liked Cody but didn't want to admit it myself? but I'd only known him for a day, ugh.
I checked my phone.
'1 new message: Mum
Where are you? come home x'
Shit! I forgot to tell my mum!
"Luce, I have to go! I forgot to tell my mum where I was going" I got up.
"okay, text me! I put my number in your phone earlier!" she winked and I laughed.
"see ya!"
"byeee!" I walked to the front door.
"bye debra! thank you for having me!"
"anytime honey, bye!" I walked out of the door and walked across the street.
My phone vibrated.
'1 new message: Cody
I can see you ;) x'
I looked around quite freaked out. I walked up the pathway to my house.
'look at the house next door!x' I did as he said and looked at the house, nothing? um.. Then I heard a knocking noise, I looked up and saw Cody in the window. He was laughing at me! I stuck my tongue out and text him back.
'stop laughing at me!!x' I walked into the house and saw my mum on the sofa.
"mum, I'm so sorry! I forgot to text you, I was just across the road at Lucy's!", she stood looking at me and then she smiled and hugged me.
"it's okay, just let me know next time. Who's Lucy?" I smiled.
"a friend"
"making friends on the first day? get you!" she winked and I laughed at her.
"I'm going to bed mum, see you tomorrow." I kissed her cheek and ran upstairs. I put on my pajamas and tucked myself into bed, I soon fell asleep..
