when i flew home, my immediate urge was to sleep. but when i checked my mailbox, i had gotten a letter from the apartment complex company.

miss (y/n) (l/n),
due to your month-long inability to abide by our company's policy of paying 15% extra tax towards our residency, you must remove move out ASAP. if this message isn't followed through by september 28, you will be forcibly removed for tax evasion.

thank you,
—management

"shit!" i shouted as i crumbled the paper and threw myself on the couch dramatically. how the hell was i missing that all month long? and since when was paying extra a company policy? fuck this.

i would have to move my stuff soon. i didn't have much belongings anyway. the furniture came with the apartment, so i didn't have to move anything. i needed a new place to stay.

i considered all my options. i didn't really have many friends at the moment. i guess mike, jeremy, fritz, scott, and vincent count. but i suppose mike is my best friend?

i mean we don't do the kind of things typical best friends do, but all my other bffs are dead.

i wouldn't ask the guys to let me stay with them because i literally barely know them.

i think michael would let me stay for a while?

idk, i'll have to ask him about it.

but for now, i should just pack my things and take a nap until mike picks me up.
