Emily felt someone shake her awake. She sleepily opened her eyes. She looked up to see a smiling Stacie.
"Wake up sleepy head." Stacie whispered.
"Stacie? What time is it?" Emily asked with a groggy voice.
Stacie smiled before pecking Emily's cheek. "It's midnight. Happy birthday beautiful."
Emily suddenly sobered up. "It's my birthday?!" Stacie smiled and nodded at the girl.
"Yes. Wait how did you even get into my hotel room?" Emily raised an eyebrow and tilted her head.
"Lilly gave me a key. I was too scared to ask how she got it." Stacie said and Emily nodded.
"Thanks for sneaking into my room?" Emily smiled.
"You're very welcome." Stacie smiled back before giving the younger brunette a hug.
"Why did you come here at midnight, why not at six in the morning or something?"
"I wanted to be the first to wish you a happy birthday." Stacie smiled.
"Can we go back to bed now?" Emily yawned making Stacie do the same thing.
"Okay." Stacie nodded and laid down with the girl.
They quickly fell asleep and woke up about seven hours later. Emily looked up at Stacie who smiled at her. The door flew open and Mike walked in.
"Well this is interesting." Mike said looking at the two girls who were cuddled up on the bed.
"Hey, Mike." Emily smiled as she got up and gave the soon to be retired soldier a hug.
"Happy birthday little cub." Mike kissed Emily's cheek. "Get ready and go down for some breakfast."
Emily nodded and Mike walked out the room. Stacie came up and hugged the girl from behind.
"I'm just gonna ask 'little cub'?" Stacie raised an eyebrow.
"When I was a kid I was into bares. When I was younger I said I wanted to be a bear. Everyone said I was to young and tiny to be a big bear, so that's when everyone called me cub." Emily smiled.
"Well you'll make a cute bear." Stacie tickled the girl who started to giggle uncontrollably.
Once the tickle attack was over the two got ready for the day and went down to get their breakfast.
Once they got there Emily was suddenly pulled into a bone crushing hug by her godmother.
"I love you but I can't breathe." Emily said.
"Sorry, I just can't believe you're all grown up now." Katherine smiled teary eyed.
"I'm not that old." Emily smiled giving Katherine a kiss on the cheek and going to sit down at her breakfast table.
"Pancakes and a milkshake for the birthday girl." Jesse said as he and Beca put Emily's breakfast in front of the her.
The two older siblings each kissed one of Emily's cheeks then gave her a hug.
"You two are sweet when you wanna be." Emily smiled at her siblings.
"Don't get used it. It's for today and only today." Beca said sternly and Emily nodded.
"Enjoy the pancakes cause today I'm finally getting you drunk." Beca whispered to her sister so no one else could hear her.
"Okay Beca." Emily smiled like a little kid.
She finished up her breakfast and headed out with her siblings to their house. They wanted to see their dad and pets.
"Hey daddy." Emily smiled.
"Hey birthday girl." Ryan smiled back and hugged the girl. Suddenly Duke and Billie are at her feet.
"Hey you two. I missed you." Emily said as she patted the dogs. They then ran to the other two Mitchell siblings. Emily went up and came back with Tupac.
They stayed at their house for an hour or so before going to visit their mother. They arrived at the cemetery a few minutes after leaving.
Emily spent almost two hours talking to her mother's headstone. The rest of her family joined her for the last thirty minutes.
"Let's go sweetie." Ryan said picking Emily up from the ground.
They took a little walk around the town laughing about old memories. Soon they went back to their house. After another hour the kids went back to the hotel.
Emily went up to her room where Stacie was playing a game on her phone. Emily smiled at the site.
"Hey, how was your day?" Stacie smiled looking up at the girl.
"It was fun. It's cool being back home." Emily sighed in exhaustion.
"Tired?" Stacie smirked.
"A little." Emily nodded and threw herself onto the bed next to Stacie.
"You're cute your tired. You know that?" Stacie smiled and Emily shook her head.
"Come with me." Stacie told the girl.
"To where?" Emily tilted her head making Stacie smiled at how cute she looked.
"You'll see once we get there." Stacie told the girl who groaned as Stacie pulled her out the room.
Stacie led the girl outside where everyone was hanging around the pool. Emily was still incredibly confused.
"Sorry." Stacie said kissing the girl's cheek.
"What fo-" that's when Mike tapped her shoulder. The second Emily looked at him he threw a pie at her face.
"For louring you here." Stacie answered.
"You traitor." Emily giggled.
Beca then came up behind her and scared the girl. That's when the Jesse started throwing water balloons from the roof with Aubrey.
"Really? Water balloons?" Emily asked soaking wet and covered in whipped cream.
"I had nothing to do with this." Mike said as he got hit with a water balloon and he heard Jesse laugh.
The Bellas then showed up with a bucket of water balloons and super soakers. The couple on the roof looked a bit concerned. Bumper and Benji then went up to get them.
Once they were all down Emily started a war. Everyone for themselves. They all ended up soaking wet. They had the cake outside before going up to change into dry clothes.
"Remember that cute necklace you wanted from France, but we had to leave before you could get it?" Stacie asked the girl as they walked into her hotel room.
"Yeah, why?"
"Well I may have gotten it for your birthday." Stacie smiled giving the girl her birthday present.
"Thank you! I love it!"
"I'd be surprised if you didn't considering how much you yapped about it." Stacie smiled and pecked Emily's lips.
"You taste like whipped cream." Stacie commented.
"And who's fault is that?" Emily raised an eyebrow and the older girl laughed.
After getting changed they spent the rest of the day outside looking at the sky. Finally going back inside when it got really dark and cold. Emily fell asleep in her hotel room with Stacie by her side.
