"Hey Roman." Virgil said, making me jump. Quickly, I closed my trunk and turned to face Virgil. "Virgil! How did you get in?"

"Remus let me in." I very nearly face-palmed. "Are you okay, Roman? You look paler than me. That's never good." I tried to laugh.

"Sunshine, you don't need to worry about me. I'm just a bit shaken, that's all." Virgil nodded as if he understood. Then, he flopped onto my bed and lay on his front, staring out the window." Are you okay Virgil?" I asked, sitting next to him. He made a 'hm' noise and then started laughing. "Remember in uni? You asked me out after I'd just finished my first gig." I laughed too.

"Yeah. Patton was screeching like anything." I immediately regretted saying that. Virgil's eyes filled with tears and he sat up. "I'm sorry, Virgil. I forgot." Virgil shook his head.

"It's fine. It's not your fault." It was though. I'd been the one to kill Patton. Carefully, I hugged Virgil.

"It's going to be alright." I muttered, stroking his hair. Suddenly, I felt something move under his shirt. "Virgil? Are you okay?"

"Yeah?"

"Then why did something in your shirt move?" Virgil's eyes went wide and he started stuttering incoherently. I'd just given him a panic attack. "Virgil, Virgil, I'm so, so sorry. Virgil, follow my breathing. In for 4, hold for 7, out for 8. You're alright. You're fine. You're going to be okay. I'm so, so sorry." Virgil breathing returned to normal but when he looked up at me, his eyes were still big. He took a few deep breaths and shut the door.

"Fine. You want to know what's on my back?" He asked.

"Only if you're comfortable with telling me. If you aren't I won't push it."

"That's a lie, Roman. If I don't show you, you'll think I don't trust you and if you think I don't trust you, you get miserable and I hate seeing you upset." Then he turned away from me and lifted his T-shirt up so I could see his back. I gasped.

"You-you've got wings?" I asked. He nodded and pulled his T-shirt back down.

"I'm only showing you because I trust you, Roman. But please, you can't tell anyone about this."

"I won't!"

"You have to promise."

"I swear on my brother's life." I said solemnly. Virgil laughed slightly.

"Swear on something else. Your brother means nothing to you."

"I swear on my own life, then, that I shall protect your secret at all costs." Virgil's smile was full of relief. He ran up to me and kissed me, wrapping his arms around my neck. When he pulled back, he smiled at me again and thanked me, his eyes sparkling. His phone buzzed. "Oh shit." He said, scanning the message. "I gotta go."

"Oh, okay."

"I'm sorry Roman but this is important."

"Hey, it's alright. Go." Virgil smiled at me again and kissed my cheek.

"You," he said, grabbing his hoodie, "are the best boyfriend in the world." Then, he ran off.

I trust you, Roman. You shouldn't, Virgil. You really, really shouldn't.
