"Yes Virgil?" I let out a yelp and turned around to see who it was. It was Princey.

"What do you want, Princey?" I asked. How did he know my name?

"Jesus, Virgil. I didn't realise my boyfriend was such an idiot." Princey laughed at my confused face before lifting his mask up. It was Roman.

"No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! You cannot be Roman. This isn't real. The Roman I know wouldn't-"

"I am the Roman you know, Virgil." He said, sitting down next to me.

"Get away from me!" I yelled. "You aren't Roman! The Roman I know wouldn't kill Patton!" Princey's face fell.

"I didn't want to kill him." He said softly. I laughed at this. It was a cold, strangled laugh.

"Really? You seemed to enjoy running a sword through him very much from where I was. You were grinning like a mad man!" I yelled, pushing him away and wrapping my wings around myself.

"Virge, you've got to believe me when I say that I didn't want to kill him."

"How can I believe you?!" I asked. "You're the person I love and the person I hate all in one."

"Same with you!" Roman said. I laughed.

"Oh please!" I said. "If I can't trust you to be either Roman or Princey, then I can't trust you enough to know that you loved me. You've been lying about everything else." I was getting panicked now. I had exactly a minute to get Roman out of my room before I had a full-blown panic attack. "Get out." I hissed at him.

"No."

"Get out!" I yelled, tears already streaming down my face.

"Virgil, you're going to have a panic attack and I'm not leaving your side until it's over."

"You're the one who fucking caused my panic attack!"

"And I'm the one who's going to fucking stop it." He muttered. I started shaking and clawing at my wrists, tears still pouring down my face. I felt someone gently touch my wing but I shook them off. "Virgil, Virgil, follow my breathing." I didn't know who was talking but I was in such a state of panic that I didn't much care. I copied their breathing and calmed down, slowly. "Virgil, Virgil, look at me." I felt Roman lifting my chin up so I had to look him in the eyes. His eyes were green. Green and kind and caring. I could see every emotion of Roman's written in those eyes. Or at least I thought I could. Right now, the only things written in his eyes were worry and love. I swallowed.

"I think I'm ready to believe you're Roman now."
