After that night, Nightmare's been in his dominate form more often. Cross had also stopped being as possessive as he was.

None of this got by the others, who were starting to grow concerned. No one knew what those two did behind close doors, and now they were beginning to wonder if they should know what was going on...

Dream took a deep breath, watching as his brother slept in the white clad monster's lap. This was one of the times that Nightmare was in his Passive form.

The yellow guardian deeply wanted to confront the two, but something held him back. He knew what it was though. Fear.

He was scared that Cross would snap at him, growl and glare. He was also scared that Nightmare would be upset with him as well.

Glancing around the room, he saw many of the other Sanses had the same expressions and worried looks in their eyes. They all knew something was wrong.

Dream shifted some on the chair in he was sitting in. The shifting made Cross look up to his love's brother.

The two held eye contact for a short, few minutes before he looked down again.

The white clad monster knew they were worried about Nightmare and him. They didn't have to be, everything was fine.

"Hey, Cross, I'm going to take Nightmare-"

"No." The answer was swift and bored, firm and dominate. He wasn't going to change his mind.

Dream frowned at the quick answer. He didn't like it.

"You can't control him, you know." He grumbled out.

This got the other's attention from the damn book he was reading. When he looked up, his eyes were flaring with anger.

"He's my King, I will keep him safe." He hissed.

The sweet guardian glared.

"Keeping him safe? You're controlling him, making him push us away." Dream seethed.

Everyone just watched the two quietly argue, a little surprised that Dream was loosing his temper. Yet, they understood. The way Cross was reacting wasn't normal, this wasn't how he used to react.

"I'm not making him do anything, I'm keeping him safe." The loyal servant growled, setting his book aside completely. "I'm making sure that-"

"He's alone and in pain?" Dream instantly interrupted. "He's rarely in his Aggressive Form anymore!" The small guardian's voice rose slightly in volume.

The increase in the yellow skeleton's voice made Nightmare groaned, curling closer to Cross.

Said monster sneered at Dream, shaking his head. Gently, he picked up his King and walked out of the room, mumbling to himself mostly.

Once they were gone, Dream did something no one had thought he would do. He literally flipped the small table in front of him.

It broke almost instantly from landing wrong, yet the guardian didn't bat an eye at it. No, his eyes were focused on the door that Cross exited from.

He was pissed, yet he was scared too. Maybe terrified was the better term actually.

He was terrified of Cross, but... Why? There was no reason to be terrified of him.

Not yet anyway.
