Mehrul neatly flipped another paratha and greased it with ghee-doing the least she could at the moment-pretending not to worry about him. Yeah he deserves no one's worry.
To hell with him, Mehrul huffed and tossed the paratha onto the plate.
The previous night, after the voices died down from his room, Mehrul quietly sneaked in only to find him unconscious on the ground and his hand blead crazily. She panicked at his state and did what felt best at the moment-call an ambulance. This wasn't the first time it happened and Mehrul knew what exactly was wrong with him. He needed immediate medical attention for his high blood pressure or it could get worse. Upon reaching the hospital-as usual Murtaza didn't let her stay with him and sent her back home. His stubbornness was what irked Mehrul the most.
After spending two whole days at the hospital, Murtaza will be finally discharged in the afternoon. The doctors had to run a few more tests on him. It was on his insistence that forced the doctors to discharge him early. He wasn't perfectly fit yet. He needed rest but it didn't matter to him. The most important thing right now was the client he had to meet this evening.
Murtaza has put his blood and sweat into this deal. This deal was quite crucial for his company and Murtaza was going to pull out all the stops to win it.
Giving consideration to his weak body, Murtaza dropped the idea of attending office for the meeting, rather he arranged it at his home.
Ringing up Lucy, he explained the revised schedule and asked her to escort the client to his Mansion.

It was already afternoon and Mehrul was just back home after picking up Maisha from school. As expected, Maisha was in good spirits, she'd probably learned something new at school. Learning new things made Maisha overjoyed and it was her habit to narrate everything to her Mama and BeeJi. She wouldn't rest until she recounts everything from her day.
"Maisha apne jhoote toh utar lo beta... " Mehrul slumped onto the sofa while her words fell on deaf ears. Maisha was already running towards the kitchen probably to get BeeJi.
(Maisha, at least take off your shoe baby...)Mehrul shook her head in pure astonishment at this over enthusiastic kid. She was literally one of a kind. Maisha was practically dragging BeeJi out of the kitchen, already on with her chattering.
"Aaj kya naya seekh liya aapne?" Mehrul asked, folding her arms across her chest.
(What new thing did you learn today?)"Mama aaj maine ek naya game seekha hai aur aap dono mere saath khelengi okay. Sirf ek round. Pakka promise" That demanding yet pleading nature in Maisha was from her father. It was one of his bygone traits.
(Mom I learned a new game at school and I want you both to play it with me now)
