Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do
You're the light, you're the night
You're the color of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
After discussing the place next door that we were purchasing, Axel went to take a shower. I looked around the tiny space, remembering the first night I spent here. I was alone, scared but determined to make my parents proud. During my time here, I began to see glimpses and hear faint voices of my life as a kid. I had my first slumber party with Jennifer here. She was sad, and I wanted to cheer her up.
I walked out and sat on top of the stairs, looking up at the sky. The weather was clear today, and I could see the stars shining brightly. I smelled Axel's spicy shower gel mingling with the chill air before I heard him approach. Axel sat behind me, his legs on either side, caging me in his safe embrace. He covered me with a Hello Kitty blanket. When we started living here together, I tried to hide it from him. But it was impossible to hide a pink blanket in such a small space. He made fun of me a lot, but I think he secretly likes it when I'm covered in this blanket.
"Admit it. You like this blankie too," I mumbled, leaning my head against his chest.
"Blankie..." he muttered, mimicking my tone. He nuzzled his nose in my hair. A few droplets from his wet hair trailed down my back.
"Axel...?" I said. He hummed in response, leaving butterfly kisses on my ear.
"It's your day off tomorrow, right?" He answered with a yes, nibbling on my neck.
"I think we should go see the place," I blurted out, ignoring the sensation surging down my body.
He pulled back from me. "I'm sorry, Arianna. I didn't mean to bully you into agreeing. My colleague said he is moving out since he got a place nearer to the office. I know how much this place means to you," he spoke quickly, afraid that he had rattled me with the offer.
"It does mean a lot to me. But I should keep an open mind. You can't keep travelling for an hour every day. My parents were also ready to move out and take the next step. I want to take the next step too, Axel. With you," I said, turning back to face him.
He clenched his eyes. "Arianna..." he started to say. But I cut him off with a kiss. Gone was the shy girl. Gone were the nervous butterflies in my stomach. Sure, it would hurt, but I was ready.
I trailed down to his neck, kissing and licking his clean-shaven skin. I moved my lips closer to his ear and whispered, "I want to be yours, Axel, in every way. This place is special to me. I want my first time to be here, in the same bed where I sat drooling at your pictures I found on the internet." I wanted him to know how much he had affected me ever since I saw him. But it wasn't just his physical appearance that attracted me. I loved everything about him. His charming face was a bonus.
