Layla's POV
The rest of school was a blur. I tried paying attention closely to what the teachers said but I couldn't kick away the thought of Calum. I mean, IM GOING TO HIS HOUSE.
As soon as the bell went, indicating the end of the day, Jaiden walked up to me.
"So how do you get home? Do you walk or take the bus." She asked me.
"I walk, and I'm guessing from this morning that you take the bus." I replied.
"Yeah, but I have to stay at school for another half hour because that's when my bus comes. Normally I just do my homework here." She said, looking sad.
"Why don't you walk home instead?" I asked.
"I don't like walking home by myself, plus my mom's never home. She's always at work so I prefer staying here so I'm not alone," She said, looking down at the book in her hands.
"Well, why don't you come round to my house? I'm sure my mom won't mind." I asked, smiling.
"Wow really? Um ok sure I'll just text my mom and tell her. Thank you so much" She said, hugging me.
"It's fine," I said, chuckling.

It took us 10 minutes to get home. I unlocked the front door and called out to my mom. She came out of the kitchen and gave me a hug.
"Hey Lay, how was school?" She said, before noticing that Jaiden was there too. "Oh and who's this" She said, smiling.
"This is Jaiden. Is it ok that I invited her over?" I said
"Oh of course. Hi Jaiden" My mom said, smiling at her.
"Hi Miss Harris," Jaiden answered politely.
"We're gonna go upstairs and Jaiden's going to tell me all the stuff we've already learnt from last year so I know where we're at." I said, which was just an excuse so that we could talk.
"Yeah sure. Give me a shout if you need me" My mom said, smiling before she went back into the kitchen.
"Come on," I said to Jaiden, going up the stairs.
Sadly when we reached the top of the stairs, my brother happened to be coming out of the bathroom.
"Hey Lay how was school?" He asked, before seeing Jaiden. "I see you've made a friend," He said, smiling.
"It was good, how was yours? Oh yeah this is Jaiden."
"It was better than expected, made load of friends. You wouldn't believe how many girls asked me out because of my accent." He chuckled.
I felt my stomach flutter as I remembered Calum complimenting my accent.
"Um that's good, listen me and Jaiden are going to be in my room so knock if you need me" I said, before opening my bedroom door.
"Sure thing," He said, before entering his room too.
As soon as I opened my door, Jaiden gasped.
"WOW OH MY GOSH. Your. room. is. huge!!" She said, as I chuckled.
"I don't think it's that big, well it's bigger than my room in England." I said, before walking to my dresser.
Jaiden sat down on my bed.
"Ok, spill. Tell me everything that happened with Calum." She said, urging me to answer.
"Well, what do you want to know?" I said, looking down at my hands.
