Harry had walked back to the common room once he had gathered his things from the library. He had thought over the past events that had occured during making the potion with Malfoy. It wasn't as bad as he had expected it to be, surprisingly. At least they acted somewhat civil towards the other. After all, you couldn't expect them to act all friendly or anything to one another still. They had been rivals for years after all. And you can't erase the past whenever you want.

Harry walked into the Room of Requirements and sat down in one of the scarlet red chairs, next to Ron who was sitting on a deep black colored chair.

Ron glanced up at Harry and gave him a soft smile, as if he were saying sorry. But why would be sorry for when he didn't do anything wrong? Ron sat up more in his chair and sighed. "I heard you had to be partnered up with Malfoy," Ron began, scrunching up his nose at Malfoy's name. "How was it?"

Harry finally realized why Ron looked so apologetic towards him. Of course Ron, well anyone really, would assume that Harry went through torture. But, besides causing the potion to explode, Harry didn't think it was that bad, working with Malfoy. "Hm, not as bad as I expected it to be. It was. . .odd though. We were sort of civil. Except for the few insults that he tossed at me."

Ron raised an eyebrow, finding it hard to believe that Malfoy was actually capable of acting like a decent human being. "Huh. Who would've thought then?" Ron asked rhetorically and chuckled to himself as Hermione had walked into the common room.

Hermione sighed and sat down next to Ron, since the chair Ron was sitting on was big enough for two people. "What are you two talking about?" Hermione asked as she laid her book down on the small end table next to the black chair.

"How Malfoy apparently isn't as much of a git as he use to be," Ron explained and laughed slightly at his own statement.

"Actually. . .It does seem weird that Malfoy isn't acting like a git, doesn't it? Do you think he's up to something maybe?" Harry asked as he looked up at his friends, just making a simple suggestion.

"Harry, no!" Hermione sighed and shook her head. "Not this again."

"What?" Harry asked, confused by his friend's sudden out burst. "I was just thinking. Would Malfoy really act civil? That doesn't seem like him at all."

"Harry, you always do this. You make an assumption every year even though it's practically never correct," Hermione explained and shook her head.

"No, I haven't!" Harry said defensively. "Tell me one time."

"Alright. First year. You thought that Snape was up to something when really it was Quirrell," Hermione stated.

"But, you two thought that too-"

"Second year. You thought Malfoy was the heir of Slytherin," Ron joined in this time.

"Well, it made sen-"

"Third year. You thought Sirius Black was after you," Hermione cut Harry off.

"Well, yeah, but everyone thought he w-"

"Want me to continue?" Hermione asked and Harry just grumbled and shook his head no. "Harry, you keep making false assumptions every year. I thought you'd get over this since we're in our eighth year technically now. We're grown adults, Harry. Surely, you can accept the fact that not everyone is up to something?"

Harry sighed and propped his head up on his hand, his elbow on the arm of the chair. "I know, but it's Malfoy. He's practically up to something all the time."

"Harry, I hate to admit it, but Hermione's right, mate," Ron cut into the conversation. "I know Malfoy's a git, and probably always will be a git, but he can't be up to something every minute of the day."
