Wanted: Three

As the count down on the screen continues, Amelia is trying to think of a way out of the situation.

"Jay, what do I do?!"

"Shit! I forgot about this! For your father's lab, after identifying yourself. You need to tell the system, that you are accompanied by a guest and I'll need to state my name, so it can confirm I have the clearance to be here. Quickly, repeat the steps and add what I told you."

Nodding quickly, Amelia repeats her previous steps. Placing her hand on the screen, she re-idenfies herself and adds that a guest is present. The alarm silences itself but the red lasers remain and the robtic voices asks for the guest to identify themselves. Jay quickly recites his name and in less than 10 seconds, the lasers pointed at him disappear and the screen goes blank. Sighing in relief, they both are relieved that it's over.

Soon several clicks can be heard and then the doors begin to open.

"Welcome back, Amelia." The robtic voice states once the doors open completely.

So, I have been here before? I wonder why I can't remember. Amelia curiously thinks to herself.

Once crossing the threshold. Amelia is met by an empty, but operational lab. She can't believe something like this was underground, near her home. While exploring the lab on her own. Jay, stops at a computer and begins typing. Not long afterwards, the big screen at the front of the lab turns on and the image of her father and mother is what she sees.

"My sweet girl, Amelia. You've finally come home." Her mother says into the camera with a genuine smile.

"Mom.." Amelia whispers with tears forming in her eyes.

She's missed both of her parents so much and she never thought she would be able to hear their voices again.

"If you are watching this video, it means your mother and I are dead." Her father states immediately after her mothers greeting.

"Right now, members of Proyekt G are probably closing in on this lab. I'm sure Jay has informed you on the situation and you now know why all this is happening. Before we move any further, I wanted to tell you how sorry I am. I'm your father and I couldn't protect you. Everything I've done thus far was for you and your safety. We never wanted this life for you. We wanted you to grow up like any normal child, but our wish never came to fruition. You are not a normal child, Amelia. You are a weapon. You most likely don't remember, but you have gifts. They are being suppressed for now, but once they awaken there is no going back.

The life ahead of you will be difficult, but don't ever give up. Fight with everything you have for the life you want to live. Physically we are gone, but your mother and I will be with you every step of the way. We will always be with you. We love you so much Amelia."

"Amelia, never forget that you are the navigator of your own life. If you don't like what you see as your future, then change it." Amelia's mother chimes in before the screen goes black, signaling that the video has ended.

Amelia stares at the blank screen in disbelief.

Was that it? Is that all her parents were going to say to her? They tell her that she has gifts, but don't tell what they are nor how to awaken them? She thinks to herself.

She expected to have her questions answered, but all she got were even more unanswered questions.

"Is that it, Jay?" She asks

"Hm...seems like there is one more video left, but I don't remember your father mentioning it to me." He says while looking at the computer screen puzzled.
